Here did the work for you since you are too lazy or would rather just misrepresent what has been said...

Me on Nov 1st.

JMAC3 wrote:I don't think victory lapping is the right move, and I wouldn't say anyone is ready to point to him being a bust. I think the reason for the Scoot overreaction is that anyone who questioned if Scoot wasn't the guaranteed 2nd best prospect in the draft was told they didn't know ball and mocked for thinking another player could be better.

Me on Dec 4th.

JMAC3 wrote:
Yes and no. It is probably too early to call him a bust yes, but I don't think it is too early to say he isn't the prospect he was built up to be.

So again, not only me not calling him a bust. But instead saying too early to call him a bust... ya know the opposite of what you said I have been doing. Lying on my name.

Again, me doing what I literally just said I viewed him. Not a bust yet, but probably a worse player than most players had him pegged as. Which I just reittered I have moved him down to 7th/8th where I had him 5th before the draft.

Anyways, just avoid replying to the messages that directly are disproving whatever narrative you are trying to peddle.

I stand by what I have said, Scoot has been bad. I am lower on his future then I was a few months ago. If that makes me a victory lapper then so be it.

Yeah apparently when you move a guy from 5 down to 6 you need to take victory laps every time he has a bad game. Great process!

Nobody is doing anything off of 1 game. Other than you racing to the thread after he had his best game of the year to try and scare everyone off the Scoot is bad bandwagon. Which again is funny because you hate victory lapping, but you were in here 12 hours after 1 game @-ing posters to take back their analysis and puffing out your little chest.

Pretty much all the reasons I had Scoot 5th still exist, he hasn't done anything to make me want to move him up my board. Whereas it is a pretty clear argument why someone may be down on him more than they were draft night. Not sure why you have such an issue with evaluating players and adjusting ranks real time.

How is that any different than adjusting your draft board 5 games into a college season, then again at 15 games in, then again at 25 games in? We do that all the time with college scouting no? Or do you wait until the entire college season is over before you make any adjustments or change how you view a potential prospect?

Careful, if you ride Scoot's dick any harder you'll rip it off, the poor guy will have to move to WNBA

So I either have to have him #2 or off my board? I deserve the right to trash him when he's been worse than his projected draft slot.

Can't believe he has a lower BPM than Gradey Dick who came in, felt like he missed every jumpshot and then got sent to the G League.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

It is a lose lose situation. You were in here puffing out your chest after he scored 23 pts, then you were real quiet the last 3 games where he shot 7/23 combined.

Hence why I still default back to his season long numbers. Rather than celebrating the best or worst games back and forth all year.

What did Scoot do to you son? It's sad you feel such an emotional need to trash this 19-year old. I mean keep at it. But you don't seem very centered right now. Certainly wouldn't want to employ someone who can't be even remotely objective about this business. You do you though.

He did nothing to me. Im only trashing him because of the abuse that I took in this thread pre draft. Trashing him at this point is more or less just flexing nuts on the Scoot truthers.

I respect that. Listen, if you're going to mock people for having valid concerns and then be proven wrong, expect some lap taking. It's all in good fun. I'm more annoyed by the pearl clutching and people that can't admit that they might have been wrong. But I repeat, there shouldn't be too much bragging since every person on this board had Scoot in the lottery if I'm not mistaken. Nobody thought he'd flame out of the league right? Some just didn't think he was generational.

My guess is the same people saying "why are you taking laps" would themselves be taking laps if Scoot looked like a certified future allstar and brandon miller was in the gleague and ragging on Jordan and the Hornets or whatever.

wrong, vets on this board almost never take laps if a player starts off slow in the NBA because we're well aware development is not linear and some players are more ready than others.

i wasn't the biggest fan of Miller relatively speaking and I haven't touched his thread even after bad outings because it's completely irrelevant right now and I am well aware of the ebbs and flows of young players. you're not gonna a strong read on the class until year 3 usually except for the special players like Wemby.
