What is the idea with the Duke boys? Tre is gone and likely top40, same with Carey (somebody probably bites in the 1st), I think Stanley gets picked mid 2nd, are Hurt and Moore coming back? I think Wendell almost guaranteed will, right?

Every single player? Including Quickley? I think whitney goes. I can see nick richards getting a degree. I didn't know if you were doing everyone completely. Allen returns obviously

Whitney more likely to g league before staying. Where is he getting minutes next year? Quickley I can't see leaving. He'll get 30 mpg and be the main pg

yeah with what UK has coming in next year Whitney sticking would likely put him in that Marcus Lee box a few years back where Cal kept adding guys that did what he did but were just much much better at it

Halliburton looks further ahead of where SGA was.

Such similar players.

eh, I think SGA is a bit more dynamic on ball player, better frame too

but Haliburton is a stud in his own right

That jump shot and that extra year of college really makes a difference.

I've heard Halliburton compared to what MCW could have been after winning ROY...if he'd ever learned to shoot.

Haliburton is an infinitely better passer as well. MCW was extremely TO prone when he had the ball in his hands early in his career as well.

Regarding Halliburton, haven't we learned anything from the Lonzo Ball saga? Point guards who can't shoot have very limited value in the NBA. And there's no way Halliburton is going to be a successful NBA players shooting a set shot from deep. I fell for that with Lonzo, I ain't falling for that again. That said, at least Halliburton is a much better finisher at the rim than Lonzo.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Haliburton would probably be my guy if we get stuck in the 6-8 type range.

Ummm...I don't think shooting is the primary concern with Halliburton.

Kid shot 43% from 3-pt range as a freshman. He's now shooting 42% from 3-pt range as a sophomore.

Spoiler:
Tyrese Haliburton (Iowa State, PG, Sophomore)

Image

Key stats: 17.3 PTS, 7.7 AST, 5.7 REB, 2.5 STL, 54.1 FG%, 42.4 3P%

With 79 assists, 26 turnovers and 25 steals through 10 games, Tyrese Haliburton continues to showcase the playmaking IQ and defensive anticipation that stood out at last summer's U19 World Cup.

The improved scoring should push him into the lottery mix. Averaging 17.3 points with a 65.3 true shooting percentage, Haliburton is making open threes while finding ways to compensate for his limited burst inside the arc.

At worst, [teams] will feel they're getting a terrific passer and ultra-efficient guard who can add value defensively.

Jamaal, you're making my point. Lonzo shot 55% from the field and 41% from 3 his one year at UCLA. Once he got to the NBA with better athletes his poor shooting technique was exposed. Same is going to happen to Halliburton. No one is going succeed in the NBA playing PG and shooting set shots from 3. IN fact, I think Halliburton's set shot may be even worse than Lonzo's wrong side of the head release in terms of being able to get it off vs NBA players.

Don't fall into the same trap
