I think Orlando takes him at 11

I wouldn’t mind taking him and letting him develop for another year or two over there

tape from Pro A and u21 comp from Bilal

thinking about Wemby's recent comments, how big do people think the gap is between Bilal and Ausar, considering the 1.5 year age gap

C'mon now. You don't take a guy that high (at 11) and stash him overseas for a year or 2.

The highest pick in recent years who got stashed was Jokubaitas (34th pick).

The Magic did draft Franz Vazquez at 11 and stash him. Completely different front-office back then though but that didn't work out well for them.

Indiana is going to break my heart and take him at 7, killing my dreams of the Nets moving up to 10-15 to grab him.

I will say that as a Pacers fan, I wouldn't be upset at all if we were to nab Coulibaly at 7. He's made my big board for our spot.

Wemby makes some good points. And he doesn't even mention that Bilal is a year and a half younger than the twins.

Yeah, it's really hard to argue against what Wemby is saying there. The level of competition that Bilal faced was much, much, much higher than what the twins faced. There really is no comparison. Add Bilal's similarly outlier athleticism and younger age and, well, it's just hard to argue against it. I do like the level of feel that the twins have exhibited and Amen may have the most outlier athleticism of all three but the level of competition they played could really hurt their projection.

I feel like I'm alone on an island who thinks he's supremely overrated by the draft community.

Maybe start by telling the community what are your doubts ?

Why?

He is a boom-bust type pick. Extremely lengthy, improved dramatically from age 17 to age 18 seasons.

There are some serious questions about him, but I find it hard to look at his massive improvements from just 1 season ago to this season, and question why he is supremely overrated.

The reason for his jump was simply growing and getting more playing time. It didn't come out of nowhere. The talent isn't any better in his league than the twins but the coaching, competition, and structure is. That's not necessarily a knock on the twins because imho they'd thrive under similar circumstances. I think both the twins have higher BBIQ and better handles but the separation between all three isn't major which is why Bilal is just slightly behing Ausar on my board.

He's not as athletic as the twins nor does he have their feel for the game. In open court he's special but in the half court, he has a lot to work on.

Like him at #9 to Utah. Low-pressure environment - they're probably not winning many games next year but they don't have a culture of losing either. Head coach looks promising, good front office too.
