I dunno man. Talent, but this guy is so far away. I think if he hits, he's current Michael Porter Jr. How valuable is that? I'm not taking him in the top ten, but in the early to mid teens, and if I'm a team with multiple first rounders like Memphis, Charlotte or Chicago, sure. But he just has so much to prove and work on, there are 15 guys I'd rather go to war with than him. Right now.

Hmm...I don't know why you think MPJ?
For Ament to his early, he will need to be engaged defensively and utilize his passing and size to imprint game.
Long-term, his shooting needs to come around and he needs to fill out and be able to finish like a 6'10" guy should be able to.
Positionally he is so much more important than undersized guards or unskilled big men.

Give me Acuff, Flemings, Brown, Burries, Philon over Ament easily. Honestly, give me Meleek Thomas and Anderson over him as well.
I understand why he will probably be a late lottery pick. 6'10, 210 is more exciting than 6'2, 185. But he's weak, soft, raw and not a great shooter. So...what are you getting? A lump of dough that needs a lot of work to become anything decent.

This dude has the worst press for a guy that helped win a ton of games as a productive freshman. I don’t think anyone has any many haters in this class.

I think he’s going to rank somewhere around 10th on my final big board. People are way too critical of him and obsessed with flaming and nitpicking every flaw and ignoring all the positives.

He isn't soft at all, look at his freethrow rate. He absolutely throws himself at the rim, he is just really thin.
