Anyone got any thoughts on Rawle Alkins?

I agree with that... his advanced stats are awesome... Patrick Beverly like game. Just a tough competitor.

Anybody have any thoughts on Trevon Bluiett? Seems like he could be decent shooter off the bench

Josh Okogie - Sophomore (19 years old) - Georgia Tech

6'4" SG w/ 7' Wingspan

Very good team defender and his length allows him to switch 1 through 4. Very good shooter.

Jontay for days. I like his teammate Barnett as well (if he can stay sober). Kevin Huerter from Maryland looks a lot like a Klay Thompson type to me.

I didn't realize Okogie was still only 19. I like him. Boards hard, well rounded player, gets to the line, etc.

The only negative I see is that his numbers, though only minutely, regressed from his freshman season. Know why that is?

Yeah, I think he showed up on campus @ 17 years old.

I have not watched enough GT this year to give an informed answer, but I did not notice anything that stood out in the few games I watched. I would guess that it was mostly related to the competition seen him coming this season.....nobody really expected that Freshman season he had. Also, not sure if all the distractions that Head Coach Josh Pastner brought to the table this year had any effect on the team.

Right now, Okogie is pretty much limited to 3 & D role in the NBA, but if he could round out his game by adding some creation abilities and improve his handle, his ceiling significantly increases. Right now, without adding other elements to his game, I would comp him to KCP or Danny Green as near ceiling.

Another guy that I really liked this season was the Senior PG @ St. Bonaventure, Jaylen Adams. He had a rough A10 Tournament, then an even worse NCAA Tournament....and seem to fall off the map. Finished the season shooting 44% from 3, but he went ice cold the last couple weeks of the season.....spent most of the season shooting near 50% from 3. He is not a great athlete, but has an overall solid offensive game. I would have an interest in him in the mid to late 2nd round. His moderate ceiling outcome in the NBA would likely be a backup PG.

I liked him initially, but he doesn’t perform well against better defenses/longer players. Think he should stay in college. Is a G-league player right now. He has some potential though.

He was a Senior....his college days are over. If he gets picked up by a NBA team, I agree he will likely spend much of the season in the G League. I mean we are talking picks #45-#60 or undrafted.....if a team finds a guy that makes their 15 man roster in that group, they have did well.

Think he goes anywhere from mid- to late-first round, which is about appropriate to his talent. I think there's some more upside to him if he can play up a position (eventually a 4). His rim protection ability is impressive due to his length. He likely won't have near the usage he had at Ohio St this season. I see him more as a 3&D guy, but ideally a small ball 3&D 4 (kind of like Aminu).

He is definitely a better shooter than Aminu and has more potential on that end since his shot is so high with such long arms. It’ll be really hard to guard and gives him a huge edge. He has a chance to be an all-star version of Aminu imo. I also think he has some amazing awareness around the basket that Aminu doesn’t have. Not only does he find the perfect spots for offensive rebounds, he has a great feel in the post and off the dribble he makes great reactionary moves, like a spin layup in traffic or dimeing the ball off to a teammate.
His issues IMO are his feet. He’s not quick and has a weird frame — isn’t great at getting into defensive position. But he’s so long and has great instincts. I’m a huge fan of Bates-Diop. I think he has all-star potential on the right team. He’s the sneakiest athlete if ever seen too.

Bates-Diop with pro coaching could be a real weapon from 3. As was said about Aminu, this guy is a way better shooter.

I mean you can say whatever you want about Aminu in the past, but right now he's a good shooter. If KBD gets to that level, good for him.

Can't help but see some Chandler Parsons with defense in Bates-Diop's game, or maybe a better Patrick Patterson. Like a mix of the two.
