Holmgren is going #1, just to much potential

13/10 and 4 blocks at half time for Chet against a decent BYU team

AJ Griffin is interesting. He has creativity with his ball handling and a huge wingspan which may contribute to him being a far more impactful NBA player than college similar to Donovan Mitchell, Paul George, and D Wade.

Chet is the best prospect for the 2022 draft without question. Nobody has his talent.

Not all that impressed with the draft in general but I think Chet is the one franchise talent who has All NBA potential.

There are 3-4 others who I see as potential All stars but none as game changers (Griffin, Ivey, Jabari).

Decent but very small team. Lohner is the biggest guy that gets big minutes on that team and he's 6'7.

I haven't had Chet at number 1 previously (because I don't think his ability to handle the ball will translate to the NBA) but it's getting hard to deny him now. He should be even more dangerous with more space.

is going to Milwaukee the oddest school decision ever? tbh in general I don't think players should be playing on the same teams their dad is the coach, always creates weird locker room dynamics (see the Rivers)...and not only is he ruining his own stock, but his dad's stock as a coach too...he has absolutely no clue what to do with his own kid.

Sadly this was the most predictable outcome for him.

Some guys can put up big stats and look good on a really bad team. That's not Baldwin though, he isnt the kind of player that can shine in this situation.

If Baldwin were to have gone to a stacked team, I think he would be having a good year. I know his shot has been off this year, but I think a lot of that has to do with him being the only legit threat on that team. But you put him on a team where there are multiple people the defense needs to think about and Baldwin gets a lot more open catch and shoot 3s. He would be looking a lot better.

Baldwin might be saved by Michael Porter's example and also a few teams (currently, could change in either direction) having multiple firsts. Like if Memphis has 3 firsts and their core is Morant-Bane-Brooks-Zaire-JJJ that's a good fit for a tall 3. Also everyone needs big wings who can shoot. I think his floor is probably mid 20s.

Mpj was injury tho, he wasn't playing like **** on the floor

that said, you're right, someone will take a shot for sure, Memphis is a good landing spot, Indiana may now that they got 2 firsts.

For sure, I meant the height and jumper and high school/AAU pedigree.

MPJ getting a huge contract and getting injured immediately might actually hurt prospects who have that in common with him! There's probably 9-10 guys that Denver couldn't get for him straight up via trade from that draft because they make 18M a year instead of 34M and are solid starting types.

PBJ is looking tragic out there against low-major teams.

Best fit right now is Detroit imo.

Chet on the other hand fits basically every team.

I think whoever has the first pick will have a hard time passing up Chet when the draft rolls around.

you like Ivey on the Pistons? I dont see the fit personally, I think Ivey at his best will need the ball in his hands, and he isn't likely to be the primary handler next to Cade. I'm not sure Ivey in an off ball role maximises his potential

Not optimal but he is a great 3 point shooter. Don't see it with all the guards in Orlando, Houston just drafted Green, OKC has SGA and Giddey

Ivey wasn't a great 3 shooter last season. He had a hot start to the season but it's dropping now.

First half of this season Ivey was 46% from 3 on 52 attempts (11 games)
Second half of this season he has shot 36% from 3 on 55 attempts (11 games)

Griffin looks like the better Cade fit.

After Ziaire and BJ Boston. He will not fall out of the top 20 regardless.

Possible second rounder - Jesse Edwards from Syracuse is an interesting Gafford type who I haven't seen even as a 2nd rounder on mocks. He's very raw for a 21 year old, but it's mainly because he played all his life in the Netherlands through HS, and he was maybe 190 lbs at 6'11 when he came to the IMG Academy. He's got NOOOOOOO offensive game, but he's a very talented defender.
