yeah the way he locks his elbow when he shoots makes me think he may have issues down the road. I hope not obviously but it just looks weird how it locks up when he fully extends it.

the range he needed. I think the explosion he could get away with since his skill is so high. I just don't see him going number one without that bounce. Especially in a draft class that potentially has a bunch of bouncy kids in it. Especially when the skillsets of these other kids are so high to go along with the athleticism advantage they have.

Really? Any recent tape on him?

Ya he has really worked on his range. He has been money from 3 so far this year. And it's not catch and shoot 3s. It's off the dribble and step back, he needs to straighten up though on his jumper, he seems to be leaning back a lot on his jumpers

Taytum, Jackson and Giles all have different styles of play. Tatum is the pull-up guy, Jackson is the aggressive dunker and Giles is the suave guy. Giles makes it look too easy to get to the basket by reading the floor and running at a perfect speed, Jackson forces it way to the basket by rushing into traffic with his athleticism and Tatum doesn't take it all the way to the hole so he settles with pull-ups. Tatum is unlike the others and I don't see him having the ceiling the other two have. He doesn't have a great feel for the game, he's not athletic, has no handle and he's just not exciting to watch. Jackson and Giles are top prospects though.

Jackson will struggle in his first year, I don't doubt it, he seems immature and his aggresiveness will not translate well to the NBA at first, but I believe he will adjust.
Giles imo if he hadn't tore his ACL twice then he would have been the Consensus 1st pick and Tatum is just meh, reminds me of Evan Turner.

I just made a mixtape of Ben Simmons. I think he can be an All- Star in his 2nd Year depending on what team he is going to play for, but Wow even when making the highlight video, I was very Impressed.

Just from hearing people who seen him play live I think Josh will ultimately end up being the best prospect from the 2016 class. I love Giles, but man does the two ACL injuries scares me.

Here's the link to the full game between Jackson's Prolific Prep team and Maker's Athlete Institute:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9hOjPhOQMg

I was at the game and Jackson is the real deal. He did everything on the court. He had a game high 29 points (13 in the 1st half/16 in the 2nd half). Unofficially he also had 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocked shots. He attempted six 3s and made three of them. He did have 4 turnovers, an area he needs to work on (ball-handling). But man, he screams future NBA all-star to me. Before the 2nd half, with his team down by 13 (45-32), he was super pis*ed on the bench and man he came out on fire to lead Prolific Prep to a big comeback win (76-70 after being down by as much as 21 points in the 1st half). He took the challenge of guarding Thon one-on-one in the 2nd and it paid off big time. Maker was red hot in the 1st half scoring 17 points and making a couple of 3's.

They also played a few days before that. Thon had the upper hand in that one but Josh still played pretty well

Maybe you didn't get the memo, but Thon is age appropriate.

Thon is still on the older side for a 1 and done.

People aren't really making those false age claims against Thon any longer; his legitimate age is still a knock eapecially if he needs extensive development.

Kid is a beast. Who you know at that size/strength can hit their defender with a crossover like that?

The knock on him is that he's invisible in the half court slow down game. He's more a transition player

which is both surprising because I've seen decent footwork out the post and some faceup ability out to 15 feet from him and unsurprising given his size, strength, fluidity, and bounce it makes sense at this level that he's so heavily reliant on his physical gifts at the moment.

I think that's why he meshed so well with Dennis Smith Jr when they were playing together. Dennis gets to anywhere on the floor he wants and obviously if you throw Bam a lob he's gonna go get it and or finish any dumpoffs that happen to find his hands.

BTW I know DeAndre Ayton is the next big thing hype wise. BUT Wendell Carter is a name to keep an eye on. That is all.

Omari Spellman 6-9 275 PF St. Thomas More (Oakdale, CT) *Villanova
Jayson Tatum 6-9 200 SFChaminade (St. Louis, Mo) *Duke

excited about the usual obviously (Tatum, Jackson, Giles) but also looking for breakout performances from DeAaron Fox (shoutout to Reanimator, I'm finally onboard now) Jonathan Isaac, Malik Monk, and curious to see Azubuike and Bam in this setting.

I hear Fultz is a gem but I haven't had the chance to peep for myself. So i'll be keeping an eye on that guy too. Last time I saw VJ King he looked pretty decent prior to that I hadn't been impressed so hopefully this is a continuing uptick.
