Just SL, but he looks good. I don’t think it’s at all crazy to project him as a supercharged Zubac on offense with the same defensive deficiencies (and probably Edey will be even worse of a defender when drawn up to the perimeter, which isn’t good).

The folks who said he was undraftable or that he has no role in the modern NBA are already looking very foolish IMO.

Where are all of the guys who said he was going to shoot 3s? He still hasn’t proven that he can do that or guard the perimeter. Those were always going to be the questions with his game.

So what's up, you just don't like Edey or something? You know people said he had the "potential" to shoot 3s. And he looked good this game against NBA level talent. Why be so pessimistic?

Big J is like the crack head guy outside McDonalds. You feel for him, you want to ask him how his day is going but once you start engaging with him it ends up being a waste of time.

So what is it? What about Edey makes you so pessimistic about him? Especially in the role he'd likely have on the Grizzlies this season.

So is there a certain point where'd you actually change your opinion? Like if Edey plays serious minutes next season and the Grizzlies are decent again, would he still be too slow, need to shoot 3s, and guard the perimeter?

He needs to not get played off the floor in the playoffs.

Uh, why are your standards so high?

Nearly half of all Top 10 picks don't even re-sign with the team that drafted them. Why is the bar so astronomically high for Edey? That makes no sense.

What is the point of drafting a guy at all if he is unplayable in the playoffs? Hell, even Boban has had some moments in the playoffs.

Right, and Edey is much more mobile and fluid than Boban. What's your point? If you think Boban can be effective, why can't Edey?

I think Edey is going to be fine in many matchups. Gobert? Check. Jokic? Check. Nurkic? Check. Sabonis? Check.

All those guys are larger, slower centers who Edey should be able to "not get played off the floor" against.

But you are missing a much larger point, most players in a draft NEVER PLAY IN THE POST-SEASON. Ever. So this idea that the standard is post-season play, for the #9 pick in a weak draft, is hilariously barbaric, idiotic and stupid.

Go back to your LLC.
