Re: Scoot Henderson
Predictably the same people who were so quick to call Scoot a bust his rookie season never come back to provide us with daily updates on how Scoot is now putting together a sizable string of good games. Remember when JMAC would come here and provide us daily updates on how Scoot could never shoot above 50%? Well he's now doing that regularly. His FG% overall is over 47% up from 41% last season.
Every year I come to RealGM telling people not to rush to judgement on 19-year olds. Every year the same **** happens. The usual suspects. Instead of just letting it play out, they have to declare victory immediately. But there's never any accountability on the other end. This is not to say Scoot is going to be a star. But it's certainly (still) too early to call him a bust. It's way too early to claim victory on having Miller ahead of Scoot. It was comically early to do either of those things less than a month into his rookie season.
I hope some people learned their lesson. But they won't. They never do.

LOL. It always makes me laugh how you do the stuff you claim to hate. You have been non-existent in this thread. Twitter starts talking about how Scoot has had 5 good game sample and you run to this thread.
So yes the guy with 90 game sample size of being bad is scoreboarding.
But here you are trying to say where is the victory lapping now? after 5 good games lololol.

I've been non-existent because that's exactly what I preach. You still seem so clueless man. Keep taking those victory laps though.

So you just happening to show up during the best stretch of his career.. that was by random chance? LOL
You are either clueless or trolling.

Are you now going to acknolwedge that he's improved in every measurable way over last season? I just want to hear it bro. Admit you took victory laps too early. Come on, you can do it.
And it's not just 5 games. It's over 30 games now.

Taking a victory lap is what you do. I come here to say Scoot isn't a bust. You get the difference don't you? I mean maybe you don't. But I think other smarter people probably do. At least they can decide for themselves. What I do repeatedly is tell people to wait to declare guys busts. You do the opposite of that. You immediately rush and make judgements about players weeks into a season and take victory laps.
Contrast that with what I said above. I am not claiming Scoot is a star. I am saying "wait". Keep waiting. This is a marathon not a sprint. Anyone claiming with certainty less than 1 1/2 seasons into a career is a fraudster and a casual. That's what you are JMAC. It's sad you'll never learn, but here we are. Keep doing your thang. iykyk

Rookie EPMs
Wemby 92/98/99--- class rank 1
Lively 84/93/91--- class rank 2
Amen 65/98/90--- class rank 3
Miller 78/99/67--- class rank 4
Ausar 13/99/67--- class rank 8
Scoot 46/3/20--- class rank 32
Scoot last year 13/3/1... so yes Scoot has improved since last year but still miles behind the other guys in his draft class.

lol, so you came here to say nothing. While he is playing his best. Got it. Thanks for the awesome input.
Also, if you can quote me saying Scoot is a bust at any point. I would love to see it. I think for his draft slot he is terrible, still do. but I do not believe I ever came out and said he is a bust multiple times as you are adamantly trying to claim.

Ah yes...the classic shift from victory lapper to bar mover. He could become a 10-time All Star but JMAC will come back to this thread and tell us "Yeah but he was never an MVP".

I had Scoot 5 in my big board, so him doing well actually looks good on me considering I had Wemby, Miller & the Twins ahead of him.

LMAOOOOOOOO Big J king of having it both ways. From "He's a bust" within a few weeks of his rookie season to "I had him top 5"
Can't make this stuff up folks.

What bar mover? Scoot has had 5 good games and yes he is no longer looking like the worst player in the league like he did last year. He is still terrible by almost all accounts, hence me putting the stats that say so above.
If this is some big win for you to come to the board and say "See my #2 rated prospect isn't a bust" then good on you.
I can still make fun of you for choosing to come make a big scene as soon as he plays somewhat decent. Idk how that is any different than people posting how bad he has been, but for some reason you choose to see this is something totally different.

Man, his play lately looks anything but terrible. Try watching the games or listening to Blazers fans. Otherwise you're doing this blindfolded and it shows. Little secret. It shows.

Stop victimizing yourself like a loser. Of course people are gonna come after you after Scoot plays well, because you've made it point to bump this thread every time he doesn't
btw, Scoot's shooting better than Miller on the season

Yeah last 10-15 games he's has taken a nice step forward, game is slowing down for him, shooting a lot better and has cut the TO's down a good bit. I hope it continues and am optimistic it will, time will tell

I still hate the pick but there has been some improvement.

What you don't seem to understand is that it's only a few of you guys who feel the need to victory lap so early in a guy's career. The rest of us are just giving them time to actually develop into what they're going to be. I really urge you to think hard about how you go about doing this. People keep having to explain to you over and over again the errors in your ways. Why not just listen?

Basically, the same player as last year, statistically he is almost identical across the board through 9 games.
Shooting 50% inside of 3 feet again, so doesn't look like his finishing has improved at all.
Notice how JMAC posted this in November 9 games into the season. Where are his updates on Scoot since then?
JMAC, woudl you care to update these stats? I'm curious why you yourself have been absent for months. You seemed so eager to victory lap when Scoot was playing like utter ****. Well I'll save you the trouble. Since you posted this stat in November 9 games into the season and declared FINAL VICTORY...Scoot is shooting 55% on fga 0-3 ft. That means in the last 20 games or so it's well above that figure. Where were your updates??? Hmmm...
