Yes, it’s called body language.

I saw the same thing with Jabari and Bagley when they were at Duke. Some guys are all about the me and not about the we.

It’s really tough evaluating Duke’s prospects given Coach K. I don’t blame people for doubting them. It creeps into my evaluation too. There’s 4 NBA starters on this team but you wouldn’t know it some nights. You just have to hope they’ll reach their high potential at the next level. Going to Duke is almost a detriment these past several seasons for player development

Anyone else down on this draft?

The more I look into this year the less I like it.

Not at all. What don't you like about this draft?

I think it is deep with potential high level role players.

I think the majority of people are either quite low on this draft (I include myself in this group) or feel like it's merely average and a step down from some of the better drafts in recent years. Only few people I've seen are really high on this draft class.

This draft reminds me of the CWebb, Shawn Bradley draft. Jabari is CWebb & Chet is Bradley. Ivey’d be Penny in this scenario.

it's average at best, not a huge fan overall. def not as good (or better) than the 21 class that some people were weirdly insinuating early in the year.

I think as far as depth goes this feels like a weak draft but I think personally I like a group of guys coming out in this draft more than recent years at the prospect level. Obviously some drafts in hindsight had guys that weren't at the top that made drafts stronger which always happens. We don't know yet who those guys will be.

My top 3 are Chet, Jabari, and Davis, I don't feel for instance last year's Cade, Green, Mobley are better or the year before, Edwards, Wiseman, Lamelo. I was much lower on 2020 than 2022. I still like Ivey, Paolo, and have a couple of sleepers I really like and who knows maybe Sharpe joins the draft.

It’s a ok draft just PF and SG heavy and coming behind two very strong drafts.

Jayson tatum is in his 5th year in the league and often has bad body language. yet he's clearly the best player from that draft class..

FWIW

Jabari Smith has officially overtaken Chet as my #1. He's been lights out lately. Plus being a whole year younger than Chet, I think his potential is too much to ignore.

I still really like Chet, it's moreso how great Jabari has been recently.

Also AJ Griffin is raising pretty fast on my draft board.

He's such a wildcard for me. He's either a nice roleplayer at the next level or an allstar. Big time boom or bust.

What is everyone's view of Julian Strawther? He checks a bunch of boxes – good shooter, good size, great efficiency, still only 19. Obviously, there are some limitations as well, so I'm curious to hear your take on him.

have you seen Jabari's numbers though, when it comes to unassisted shot attempts at the rim in the half court, FG% at the rim, % of shots at the rim being blocked, number of dunks, etc?

Someone tweeted recently that 30% of jabari's shots at the rim have been blocked.

For a player 6'10" or taller, he's historically bad in these categories, especially number of dunks and FG% at the rim in the half court..

Jabari is a really good shooter, but is that scalable at the next level? He seems to have to settle for jumpers far too much - and really struggles to get to the rim and finish there..

Based on all of that, I've got him no. 4 on my board..
