i've been one of Brandon Millers biggest detractors all season, I don't care lol. unlike you who is in the midst of his hourly scheduled meltdown using terminally online attacks like "cope and seethe"

lmao dog you and your little collection of loser posters have turned this thread into a trash pissing contest and now you're pretending that you're not part of it? gtfo.

Is it possible to diagnose high blood pressure through realgm posts? Why are you calling people losers and stuff every single day over some basketball thread? I can see your forehead veins throbbing through my phone screen rn. Worried bout you, “dog”

Anyone notice that Portland has won 10 out of 11 games? Not even trying to say it's Scoot, but very interesting development.

They have a balanced attack, but hes been efficient and done a good job managing their offense over this stretch.

11 gp ~ 26.7 mpg
13.6 ppg ~ 3.5 rpg ~ 5.8 apg ~ 1.3 spg ~ 2.3 tov
46.8% fg ~ 41.2% 3pt ~ 81.8% ft
+8.0 +/-

It would be sorta awesome if we could have an actual, objective discussion about Scoot without mostly "I need to show you how right I was/will be" posts...

He had a down game last night, but still finished with 8 assists and a positive A:T. Since his 39 point game he's had a pretty nice stretch overall. 14 games:

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hendesc01/gamelog/2025#94-107-sum:pgl_basic

In about 28M a game:

16/6/3.5 on 50% and 46%3pt on 5 attempts per game. Assists are 6.2 : 2.6.

Color me surprised. I don't know how much any of that is sustainable...certainly not the 3pt shooting...but my eyes tell me his overall feel for the position on both ends is getting substantially better.

It's funny how someone (me) was literally trying to have a conversation about Portland and specifically said not making it about Scoot.

If only people coudl read.

Oh. JMAC thinks it's funny to have a basketball-related discussion. Why does that not surprise me? He's the least serious person in this forum.

Just to be clear...I literally am not trying to make it about Scoot here. I don't watch Portland on a regular basis and saw they won 10 out of 11. That's pretty wild. Legitimately wondering how it's being done.

What are your thoughts on this iteration of Scoot? I can't remember OTTOMH if you had reservations about him around the draft (like I did) and I'm too lazy to go look.

I think the hard thing for me right now is I struggle finding similar players at his position, at his age to compare him too in terms of arc. OFC, he's a bit of an anomaly too because...Gleague.

I think Scoot is improving. That seems obvious. It seems obvious A LOT, if not most, everyone wrote him off way way way too early here. I had him 2nd in the draft. I literally said from day 1 I thought he'd be like a Jrue or Conley type. There's nothing I've seen so far that deters me from that viewpoint. If anything it's only strengthened my case.

While most detractors (like JMAC) focused on how he's not Russ in terms of athleticism, what they failed to appreciate is just how strong this dude is. His frame is just elite elite elite in terms of strength. When he learns how to harness all that and if the shooting is even halfway real long term, he's going to be a problem. Because he has pretty much everything else a point guard needs to thrive.

10 assists per 100 poss, by far the best on Portland, more than two more than Anfernie despite Anfernie playing considerably more minutes, the guy is and has always been a legit lead guard and needs to be treated like one, give him the ball and surround him with shooters. playing him as a combo guy just won't work.

Ayton was absolutely horrid to start the year and just refused to defend. He's finally turned it on.

Scoot playing much better has obviously helped too.

Honestly, the engine of the Blazers' play right now is Deni and especially Camara effort on the defensive side. It's had a spreading impact on Scoot, Ayton and Sharpe and even Simons.

Camara is such a fun player. Such a steal for the Blazers.

Please tell Cronin and Billups...apparently they think Simons, Grant and Ayton are going to win something.
The Blazers went on a streak during the weakest part of their schedule and won largely on defense, but Cronin no doubt is seeing it as some sort of 'proof of concept'. Ridiculous...

i've come to learn that the vast majority of NBA coaches and GMs are no smarter than the average poster on this forum
