Rose is big for a pg, but he isn't near deron in that regard. Deron is just bigger and stronger than ever other pg. He powers through contact and no other pg can match what he does. He's also fast and quick.

D Rose is the Lebron of PGs while Deron is the Melo of PGs.

Jimmer is an undersized & slow SG in the NBA. He's never going to play PG in the league. He doesn't have the ball handling & passing ability.

So stop there and start to think of him as a SG and then how does he project in the NBA? He's going to break alot of hearts when he's a huge bust ala Adam Morrison without the size.

Jimmer is way more athletic than Morrison and at least has a decent skillset to set him apart from that comparison. Jimmer is also not going to go 3rd overall so he won't possibly be a bust like Morrison was.

Fredette will be just fine as a guy who is asked to come in and make shots. He'll have to come off the bench or play next to a ball dominant g/f to be successful but he's a ridiculously good shooter. It's tough to guard someone who can drain 28 footers at near 40% if you don't get out on him, which allows him to get separation off the dribble.

I don't know how anyone can sit there and say he doesn't have the passing ability. He may be an even better passer than he is a shooter. I don't know how he'll do in the NBA, but it's such a pleasure to watch him play college ball. Some of the things he does are just amazing. Even though he's no leaper, but he can get off a clean shot when he's off-balance by jumping and then adjusting his body in the air - and then getting off a shot with perfect release. And dude is such a cold-blooded competitor out there - He never seems to lose his focus or his edge.

I think Kemba ends up going top 10 while Jimmer goes late lotto.

Yeah, I tend to agree; although I hope Kemba drops to the 14th so my Suns can pick him. I believe with Freddette it depends on how he performs in the tournament. If he rips it up, obviously his stock will rise drastically and he may end up going in the lottery. If not, I see him as a late first (20-30) or even an early second. Then again, this draft is real weak, so who knows?

I would take either of them around 10 or so. They can both come off the bench and make impacts as scorers.

I think Fredette can be a similar player to Jose Calderon. He could be a bit better at creating his own shot and a bit better defensively, but I think that is a pretty fair comparison. I don't think he is Steve Nash, but that is the comparison I think he biggest supporters would try to make.

Kemba has more upside, but he is a bit undersized for the NBA and he will need to either improve his passing or his ability to score in the paint, in order to reach the next level.

Nolan Smith also deserves some discussion. He looks like a great role-playing guard who should be able to to a little of everything. He would be a perfect fit for either LAL or Mia, but he will probably go too early for them.

Neither miami or la have first rounders this yr

Id take kemba over fredette in a heartbeat, nba requires more athleticism and penetrating ability

That said, he's not worth a top 10 pick IMO, he's a mid first type talent. He'll definitely be solid in the NBA, but not great. An Aaron Brooks type of guy. He's just overhyped is all, the Jonny Flynn notion is spot on. Kemba also benefits from the big east having crappy guard play in general compared to other conferences, something that gets swept under the rug somehow.

just wanted to quote the part about the big east having crappy guard play because i was right, like i've been saying all year.

Who's more explosive, Jonny Flynn/Jerryd Bayless or Steph Curry and present Chauncey Billups?

Brandon Knight has a decent bit more NBA value than either of those guys.

How does Jimmer's handle look to you guys? I've seen a few games, and it looks ok.

It's ok for a college SG. For an NBA PG it's pretty weak.

You can see he's tired, he's resorted to taking 28+ footers. Got to take it to the rim Jimmer.

the threat of his pull up jumper makes his crossover better than it is. otherwise, its kinda long and slow. overall i dont think hes a great ball-handler. i think he'll have more of a strong handle at the next level, using his body and positioning to protect the ball.
