Re: Future draft classes
i don't see melo in bragg. bragg doesn't play with the kind of force that melo plays with. bully ball is a major part of anthony's game. from what i've seen, bragg would rather attempt a tough jumper than attack his defender. he looks like a kid who thinks his perimeter game is better than it really is.
i see him slipping in the rankings after this off-season. i think he's already started to slip after the early eval period.

Brown is an amazing raw athlete, Jackson looks smoother and is more advanced skill wise, but if Brown can improve his skills he is up there with anybody in terms of potential.

Lebron made it to the finals with that cleveland team.
Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

Re: Future draft classes
nothing set in stone yet but Jayson Tatum, Harry Giles, and Dennis Smith Jr. MIGHT be a package deal when it comes to picking schools.
Tatum is headed to Kansas for a look in about a week.
If Self can land all three that would be kinda scary.

Udoka Azubuike and Michael Porter's wingspans (among others)
Not sure if those are correct.
Height seems to be without shoes.

i don't think it's that big of a deal. they have a pg in this class. trier would be a lateral signing, briscoe would be better, imo. i think they're favorites for at least one of those guys. they're also in the lead for this kid ray smith out of vegas who imo is a better player than dorsey as well.

Re: Future draft classes
so jeter, welsch and blakeney were the last cuts. jeter can still and should make the u17 team should he pursue that. i see there are no 97's on the team, which sounds about right since there are u18 and u17 events this summer.
i'd assume that tyus, s.johnson and winslow start. maybe kennard at the other guard to provide some shooting, but i know billy D likes to go all out on defense and spacing isn't as big of a concern since they play a full court style. starting all 3 of johnson, winslow and jaylen brown would be something else though. imagine those 3 hounding defenders and getting out in the open court. turner/zimmerman could be closer than we think, but i'll still go with turner because of "seniority."

Re: Future draft classes
im hearing that zach brown was the most impressive prospect at this weekend's nike elite 100 camp.
7 ft 265 lb sophomore to be. he's long with soft touch, plays big, is mobile, changes ends well, natural lefty so has that shot-blocking advantage and has good big man fundamentals, like keeping the ball high. doesn't look like much athletically in terms of spring, but he still has plenty of time to make some strides in his explosiveness.

I'd be very surprised if Ray Smith doesn't commit to UNLV. Zimmerman is a maybe, and Jeter is basically going to Duke already, but Ray Smith is the one that UNLV is focusing on.

they could focus on him and still lose out on him to 'zona. smith is a forward and i expect dwayne morgan to stay at least 2 yrs and i expect stanley johnson to be 1 and done. there will be an opening at 'zona.

Re: Future draft classes
Its hilarious how many of the 2015 U18 guys are older than the 2014 guys. Need to go to an age based ranking instead of a class based one and end this nonsense.

Tatum is headed to Kansas for a look in about a week.
If Self can land all three that would be kinda scary.
Interesting because I think that right now none of them are on the same page with schools leading. I think Tatum is a Kansas lean, Giles is a UNC lean and Smith Jr. is a NCSU or Duke lean.

i hope they all go their separate ways. this package deal stuff is stupid. they need to pick the program that best suits them individually.

could be wrong here but i dont remember Self having a PG like Smith. Would he know how to use him effectively if he got him?

he's had plenty of quick, athletic lead guards, but none with the skill level of smith. i don't doubt self's ability to learn to effectively use anyone really.

Hope they get that resolved soon looking forward to seeing that kid on the court for the next couple years.

tough call. udoka is such a physical specimen. he's got a budding mean streak too, cliff alexander-esque even.
brown might be more advanced mentally and has better touch. both are bigs who know how to and want to play big though. i like that.
