He looks like a good positional fit for just about all the teams picking in the bottom 7.

Yes that certainly dings him a bit as it does Ayton and Bamba. All three players are more or less the same age as Markelle Fultz.

It's a trend I've pointed out .. a lot of the freshman in this class are 1year older lol. I don't think it's a big deal, but I do think it'll be a very interesting problem for the future when a bunch of these kids start "reclassifying" in highschool because they want more developmental time. I think that when the next time the NBA changes their draft rule, they'll take this into heavy account. By their current rule based off age alone, these 19yearolds should've already been in the NBA. Would you rather have a 5star bluechip prospect developing in college? OR under the wing of a NBA team?

Back to the point, it's not a big deal at all. Lots of freshman in this class are older. Porter Jr, Ayton, Bamba, Young, and more. In regards to Porter Jr, he's one of the most NBA ready players in this draft. He's going to come in and contribute Day 1. It's not like the Skal situation where he was already 20yearsold, but raw as **** and didn't have the strength to guard anyone.

Porter Jr thread has been dead for months. Any projections on where he'll go?

I have no idea where he will actually go but he and Bagley have the highest upside in this class bar none

The thread is dead for a reason. He hasn't played since the Great Depression and he looks like Mr. Bust 2018.

The Hornets interviewed him at the combine. I have my fingers crossed that the team can work out a deal to trade up for him. The team has needed a wing scorer for half a decade.

I have no idea what to really think at this point. Could see the Mavs taking him at 5 if they stay at that pick., if not, Bulls a very probable landing spot. But I like Bamba over him and am entertaining Carter as well with our pick.

Hard to know when we didn't see him all season and info is so locked down on him pre-draft.

Woj just mocked MPJ to the Wiz at 15, citing the back and him not showing teams his medicals.

Injury would have to be really serious. I mean, Giles was the top HS recruit in the 2017 draft, and we saw how far he dropped.

I think I missed the last part? I don't recall him saying anything about MPJ not showing teams his medicals.

All of the concerns are completely warranted, but I don't follow the logic of having him at #15. They know he'll go to 10, but I guess it's conversations for the ratings..or maybe his agent isn't close enough with Woj.

I'd be beyond shocked if the Clips don't take him, there is no way he is sliding past 12th-13th, absolute floor, and can go as high as 4th

He's a lock to the Bulls. Has been in Chicago for the past week with Chandler Hutchison, was spotted at Oak Street Beach on Saturday

Is there any information out about who he has given his medicals to / who he has worked out for thus far?
Working on becoming Titletown:

Bulls - 6
Blackhawks - 6

May have gotten the source mixed up on that one - someone with apparent knowledge on the Bulls board said he's been picky in showing his medicals.

I have done some reading on the operation MPJ had. In short, my conclusion is that if a player returns to play, as 8/10 do, then the surgery has no degrading effect on the player's career length nor abilities.

First post-operation season players underachieve, and are worse than a control group. But second season from there on, there is no difference between injured and operated players and non-injured players.

This conclusion is based on studies done on professional athletes in general, and NBA-players specifically. As a disclaimer: the results are statistical, and sample sizes relatively small.
From the basketball's perspective, travel is a nice pause from being pounded to the floor.

Last I heard he isn’t giving his medical to anyone. He’s keeping that secret.

Obviously trying to get himself selected by the Sixers at #10 jk. If bulls make out with mpj and hutchison, they win the draft.
