Just meant specifically on defense with that comparison although that might be too high as BroLo is a DPOY candidate this year.

He looked real solid in that game. Made plays. Finished strong at the basket. Made clutch free throws to send it into overtime. Made some timely passes. I see some D-Wade in him. He's not quite as athletic as Mitchell, but I think he's stronger and I can see him being a better passer. I think Mitchell is definitely a little more explosive and quicker than Edwards, but Edwards just seems like a guy who is going to be more consistent on both ends of the floor.

So Lamelo Ball left another team after putrid on court play?

This is what, the 2nd or 3rd team he left after disappointing? Stud.

He looks very in control and smooth for an 18 year old.

Very true. Very coordinated and very in control. He knows how to use his body and understands how to use his threat of attacking off the dribble to set up his 3-pt shot. You really don't see much of that in this year's class.

Morant would be the easy number 1 pick in this year's draft. How about Barrett vs Edwards as prospects?

really good athlete, high level coordination and body control, problem is he just hasn't had a huge impact on his games, he lost that game I think, 36 points is nice but it took 44 minutes to get them, had more TOs than assists and again took some weird shots

he's a tier 1 guy for sure in this class, but he still needs to learn how to actually win games.

is there a lot of surprise there? wasn't he always headed to the draft after the season regardless? I don't think he was looking to sign long term or expected to.

UGA doesn't have the talent to help Ant overcome these games. His point is a 5-10 true freshmen. Hammonds is probably their 2nd best player and he's decent at best.

Only real warts is his shot selection and trying to do too much offensively. Scar is a NCAA team most likely and at home they are tough.

Do we anticipate Edwards continuing this shot selection hero ball and lackluster D when the talent around him improves? is this just who he is or does he transition with all his positives and workable negatives?

he's got plenty to be able to beat South Carolina, he's far and away the best player on the court, Hammonds and Toumani are also good, problem is his decision making and BBIQ is not where it needs to be at this point

now, he's still super young, and if the mental side of his game continues to improve he's gonna be an absolute stud in the NBA because of his physical tools and 3 level scoring ability, but i do question his impact at this point on games.

I'm not surprised that he couldn't play well or that he left the team when the going got rough.

Anthony Edwards lookin really good so far.

It's too bad that he lacks a good supporting cast.

Man Obi Toppin will probably be pretty productive and fun at the next level if he survives defensively. Athletic freak who can shoot the 3 ball with that type of big build.

I feelell like LaMelo can maybe be a more uptemp Lonzo, with more ability to attack one-on-one. But will probably be quite a bit worse defensively.

I also feel like he'll take almost his entire rookie contract before he becomes a positive impact player.

Like with Ja last year on this sub, there is a massive effort to underrate offensive skill. Melo has exceptional offensive skill. Exceptional! Let's not misconstrue that
