It’s crazy HOW Zion is litteraly a one in a billion type specimen, and yet! He still wears the same garbage 1$ shoe made by child slave labor

This isn’t the first time a basketball player has exploded through his shoe!
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

I really doubt it. First game of March Madness is 21 March. It's 21 Feb today, that's a whole month. Unless that's a lot worse injury than initial reports (mild knee sprain), pussying on your team just before playoffs would raise huge character concerns. It could easily cost him #1 overall.

No chance. Him shutting it down won't change anyone's mind about him. He could spit on Coach K and still go #1 overall.

It’s an indictment on modern b-ball shoe design. As trends shift away from support and towards lightweight and as minimalist as possible shoes we’re going to see far more injuries related to it. The uppers they are putting on these shoes now are becoming reminiscent of the uppers you see on racing flats/spikes for track and field. These designs are not able to support violent change of direction by enormous and powerful human beings. When I ran track competitively i used to cause the seam connecting the sole of the shoe to the upper to sever and rip apart every few races, as someone who weighed only just over half as much as Zion and wasn’t planting and cutting in the same way.

It looked to me like his foot slid inside his shoe across the insole and then the side of his foot hit the fabric upper and the pressure caused every sewed seam to just pop and his foot came out.

In theory his shoes also may have been tied far too loose which allowed his foot to slide as well.

Zion doesn't need to shut it down. He should however sit at least for 3 weeks.

Hope he still goes at it in the tournament. And does so with better shoes too.

I'm sure he's going to want to play in NCAA Tourny.. He should rest until the ACC Tourny starts up

Duke's remaining games...@ Va Tech, vs Miami, vs Wake Forest, @ UNC.

Earliest I'd bring him back is UNC, but sit him until the ACC Tourney. Shoot, sit him until the Tournament. Worst Duke will be is a 2 seed. Have him full go with plenty of rest for a March run.

Thing is though, Zion wants to play. Doesn't seem like the type who would be ok sitting out if he's ready to play.

Zion out for tomorrow. Many thought he would play tomorrow. With the burning of Joey Baker's redshirt, I won't be shocked if K is preparing for Zion not returning.

Coach K told reporters that Marques Bolden has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL. Also said that

Seems as legit as possible. Some think he is Barkley with Dominique Wilkins athleticism, that would make early Blake his floor. Something about him puts me in the mind of Anthony Bennett but I hope thats just looks.

I think prime Zion will be an MVP candidate, but I think Zion's prime will only like 3-4 years like Dwight Howard. Because of his superior athleticism, I think Zion's career arch will be very similar to that of Dwight.

Why do you point out the one example where an athletic freak had such a short prime? How about all the other generational athletes who had 10 year primes?
