Green over Edwards comfortably IMO.
Besides age why is Jay Huff ranked so low? A 7’1’’ center that can hit the three and block shots. What am I missing?

I'd be tempted to take Jalen Green first overall. That kid is the one player in this draft that looks like a superstar.

His kind of player-skill are somewhere in the 2nd round which I want to get with our own high SRP. Big/Tall Players that are snipers in the 3pt line and can get you buckets. Then just a body to bang around and box out on D. Like Garza, Huff.. I would put Hurt there but he is too short to be the 2nd/3rd C at only 6'9.

What do people think about Miles McBride? I am watching his season highlights and like what I have seen.

Re: 2021 NBA Draft
To me Green is the #1 guy. His first step, 3 level scoring, and athleticism is ridiculous. Hes going to score 30 ppg in the NBA at his peak. To me he's the best offensive weapon in the draft since Durant maybe? His passing and vision is underrated too. Like hes a good passer and will probably be a 4-5 assist guy in the NBA. He doesn't have Cades playmaking but his athleticism and scoring chops are better are more of a sure thing IMO. I dont think Cade is the Luka / LaMelo type playmaker hes getting billed as.

The more I look at this draft, the more I think it's a top 6 and then question marks.
Cade, Mobley, Suggs, Kuminga, Green, Bouknight. I think all of these guys reasonably have an all star game in their future, and you don't really have to make any huge leaps of faith to project their nba futures.
After that, I like Springer, Moody, Wagner, Keon but there's significant question marks on all these guys.

Top 3 and then question marks for me.

I’m buying all the Jalen Green stock I can find lol
Most explosive, least psychically developed one out of the five? Yeah it should be Green. 15 pounds on him ggs. He isn’t a Durant prospect. But a hyper Beal type is on the cards. He just looks like a problem waiting to happen for the league within 3 years. I have around 25-28 ppg maybe more and a top 3 positional player in the comp for an SG.
Was top ten efficiency wise in G league ball (Way more of an NBA setting, cooked a couple of rotational players, there was NBA quality stock playing, he’s a handful already). Finished at an acceptable level against bigger guys, haven’t heard any issues around the ears like Edwards. Edwards has more size/profile but his awareness issues was apparent/ethic was apparent in College ball.
I think Green is the better basketball skilled player too.
Cade is not a luka type those that think he is will be disappointed.
Suggs has an argument, his leadership intangibles is huge for a team like the Pistons.
(Mobley he’s one of my favs but he’s more of a tweener, jack of all trades but he’ll be very very good).
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Cade is ranked about third in a redraft in 4-5 years time. No harm no foul, but Jalen Green for me is the prize in this year’s draft.

I’m on the Green train too. But I’ve heard some scouts think he is 6’4’’ not his listed 6’6’’. Anyone got insight on that? If he can play either wing on defense he’s worth even more.

I'd rank Edwards #6 in this draft. I don't think he'd have been much more efficient than (a younger, longer) Kuminga in the NBDL.

Re: 2021 NBA Draft
I hope Garuba ends @ celtics or GSW, i think he really could flourish in those systems. His offense is very raw but he can defend 1-5 and his basketball IQ is very high. I think he will be picked in the highs 10's so maybe Boston could land him.

Re: 2021 NBA Draft
I like the fact that Jalen Green chose the G-League and succeeded.
It shows that he is dedicated to becoming a pro player instead of half assing it as a student athlete for one semester (two semester if you are at a handful of schools with academic requirements ahem not Gonzaga or Kentucky)
Is is a very difficult choice choosing between Mobley and Green. Green has everything you want in a superstar SG prospect, while Mobley is everything you want in a modern PF/C. For me, Mobley rates a fraction better as a prospect at a position that is less impactful. Wings impact the game more than forwards.

Re: 2021 NBA Draft
What a Game from Garuba at this level in a elimination game of the Playoffs of the Euroleague sustained his team like this on defense. This kid has a bright future if you want that your team take a next step to compete this kid it's the answer he is a **** grown man right now.

Re: 2021 NBA Draft
Green is probably the 3rd best prospect in this draft. I don´t think he's a franchise player( I don't view Lavine or Beal as franchise players). He's a great scorer but I'm not sure what he's good at besides putting the ball in the hoop.

Re: 2021 NBA Draft
Anyone concerned with Tre Manns verticality? I mean he’s one of my favorites to watch over again, and it’s very paradoxical with him lol
Like he can barely dunk but has one of the sickest layup packages when he takes contact like he just hangs in the air it’s weird but he does finish those circus like shots on regular occasions.

Yes, he doesn't seem like 6'6'' to me either, could be the body type and wearing short shorts.
I like him and think he's very talented, but there's something about him that doesn't give me a good lasting impression. Can't put my finger on it about what it is, though.

Re: 2021 NBA Draft
Green's first step, hang time, and layup package really do remind me of a young Jordan. And yet I'm still not sure he's in my top 5 due to the fact that I don't think he projects to be much more than a scorer in the NBA. I don't like his frame size for the SG position either, and I don't think he has PG ability.
