he's been playing great since the big east tournament, he's long, with really nice scoring touch, especially on floaters, i wouldnt be surprised to see him average 20ppg next year

Yeah, what are the odds of that - 2 frosh shooting guards named Lamb who are both quality NBA prospects? UConn has really been babying Jeremy. Kid is a natural scorer and is going to be a matchup nightmare. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten more steals - he should be getting at least 2 a game. He's almost too nice on the floor - kinda like he realizes he's much more talented than his opponent and shouldn't take advantage of him. If he gets a mean strike, he could be unstoppable.

i'd like to see them both declare. the NBA badly needs an influx of SG talent.

I think another year at UConn could really benefit Lamb. He is not ready for the NBA, but another year could really bump his stock if he can embrase being a go to guy.

I'm guessing he ends up a lotto pick... in this draft

I doubt Lamb declares this year, he could use another year to put on some weight and be the go to scorer.

(..the Uconn part of me hopes not, at least)

I think he will declare. He has top 10 talent in this draft IMO. The main weakness I see in him is that he is too nice. Not phoney nice like most guys are in the league, but genuinely too nice.

I think Lamb is the best freshman SG in the country and would be the best SG prospect if he declares. However, he wasn't a highly hyped guy coming in; he was kind of a find for CT... so I think there is a good chance he stays.

It'd probably be in his best interest to stay and develop a bit as a go-to guy on UConn without Kemba next year. That's the only way he'll receive the notoriety he deserves. He looks like a damn good player. He could be a smarter Jamal Crawford with some defense with that ridiculous length of his.

He is very talented but no way is he a top pick in this draft. He's been playing very well for Uconn the past few weeks but before that he was very inconsistent.

Kemba gets all the attention from the defense so I would like to see what he can do as a top guy next year.

Does he project to be "the man" at the next level? He doesn't to me, so I don't see why that's important.

I really don't see anyway Lamb comes out after this year, Calhoun has never had a one and done and as good as Lamb is, I don't see him being the first. Why come out in a year where there is uncertainty about the '11-'12 season, when he can come back, put some weight on, have a great season and go even higher in the next draft?

Very good first half against Kentucky. He's going to be a lottery pick even if he declares this year

Agreed, but I doubt he declares this year. (Or at least I hope he doesn't)

I actually like Napier better as a prospect. Reminds me of a slower Monta Ellis. Lamb just doesn't do it for me.

What?! At best napier's another Scottie Reynolds, who went undrafted. Lamb is shooting 60% for the tourney and could be a lotto pick THIS year.
His poise and basketball acumen is off the charts and he's got longer arms than some NBA PFs.

Napier was so bad last night (except the rebound and the two FT's he shot at the end of the game). I wished he could just give the damn ball to Kemba instead of trying to do everything himself

I don't see any Ellis in him at all. He reminds me of some past Uconn pgs that can't really score, but can keep the dribble alive. He is like the tyreke brown(think that's his name) dude they had running point a few years ago
