12 Blocks tonight. Breaks Kentucky's single game record. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Noel is a better shot blocker than Davis.

Through 20 games, Anthony Davis: 93 blocks. Nerlens Noel: 94 blocks."

Noel had 12 blocks tonight. Insane

What's even more insane is that he kept blocking shots even though he was in serious foul trouble in the second half. He had a couple of terrific all-ball blocks down the stretch, just amazing body control to make the play but still keep from fouling out.

He needs some work on the offensive end but isn't as raw as many thought coming into the year, behind Davis though. And his FTs need a lot of work.

Is it just me, or does Noel seem like a more explosive athlete then Davis? Davis may be be longer, but Noel just seems like he has a quicker first step. If he gets any semblance of an offensive game down, he could be a terror down low.

noel is quicker off the floor and quicker in general, but he's also less disciplined and goes after blocks indiscriminately. he's also far less coordinated on the offensive end with very little touch and tries some pretty awkward looking plays.
his shot is so ugly. i wouldn't be that optimistic about him developing even a slightly below average offensive game.

I think we'll see his offensive game near the rim improve as the year continues. Wiltjer is surprisingly effective there and I think its starting to rub off on Noel.

Keep seeing a string bean Tyson.Chandler when I watch him. If he gets up to 240 in his prime I think he'll be a top 3 defensive big in his prime. I think he has potential to be more effective offensively than Chandler. To me with how weak this draft is at the top with no superstar he's my #1 on my draft board.

and not one intentionally blocked out of bounds, he blocks them and realizes it's more important to give his team a chance to get possession of the ball

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Some games, it looks like his form is really developing well, and then he'll follow up by looking like he never took a foul shot in his life. I think a lot of it is him being 18. Hard work and good coaching will go a long ways, imo. And some easy buckets would be nice. I'm surprised he doesn't get more.

I'd say it's dependent on what team gets the #1 pick.

Pretty confident in saying he will go #1 regardless. Damn, imagine if hornets get back to back 1st picks? Noels and Davis...oh my

Starting to agree about going #1. He's limited but seems to have the coordination and work-ethic to evolve into a complete player eventually.

Yeah, unless one of those weird teams with two young and promising bigs (Jazz, Pistons?) gets the number one pick, I see no way that anyone goes before this guy. Super athletic big that can run the pick and roll and block shots - super valuable in today's game. He also has an awesome motor. Can't pass on a Tyson Chandler light for a guard.

I believe any team that passes on Noel if they have the chance to take him is making a big mistake, regardless of roster. Even the Pistons/Jazz. Him and Ben McLemore are the two best prospects imo.

Anyone else see his injury just now? Landed on his leg awkwardly and hit it on the bottom of the hoop It looked absolutely horrible. He couldn't put any pressure on it and was screaming in pain. His team had to pretty much carry him off the court. It was hard to watch. Hopefully surgery won't be necessary but it seems like it will just from his reaction. Not sure how this affects his stock but it can't be good.
