Love him as a college player but scared to take him top 10. Georgetown has no seniors so I think he goes back for 1 more season and make a final four run. Needs to get stronger.

I don't think so. What does the fact that Georgetown has no seniors have to do with anything? He's putting up great numbers and is a top-10 pick. You don't turn that down, especially when next years draft looks to be pretty top-heavy with Wiggins, Parker, Harrisons, Randle...

He'll be in this draft.

He should be the #1 pick. This guy's gonna be a STAR.

Prototype SF. Much better prospect than Harrison Barnes who went 7th last year. Can do a bit of everything at an above average level. Whoever is calling him a poor or below average athlete obviously must be watching something else.

Batum & Granger are good comps.

I think he's a top 5 pick in most drafts.

If things go well with Porter's development, Tayshaun Prince sounds about right as a comp.

I think he's becoming one of my favorite prospects. If his shooting is really this much better then it was, I'd love to have him on the Wolves...he can backup AK and then take over the SF spot for us.

He's the number 1 guy I want for the Wiz right now, assuming we don't get our chance at Noel.

The only thing he lacks is explosive leaping, he literally does everything else very well. Needs to get a little stronger, but he has the frame to do that.

Much better offensive skill set than TP.

Would have to agree. He has a bit more to offer on offense that Prince did. Seeing him go to Detroit would seem like the perfect spot for him though. He can shoot the 3 ball with consistency, and doesn't need the ball to be effective. As someone mentioned, he is a better SF prospect than Barnes imo.

It's encouraging that his FT shooting is up to near 77%, looks like his improved stroke is less of a fluke. Still don't trust him as a high upside slasher, without great explosiveness and his skinny frame.

I could be sold on him having a Deng level super glue guy career if he pans out.

How are people feeling about Porter these days? I am not rooting for the Wizards to take him. He has great length, but no real elite skills, and he isn't an elite athlete. I see him as an average SF in the league.

Safest pick in the draft....although it isn't worth much considering how weak it is in terms of talent.

His upside is Nic Batum IMO.

an average starting SF sounds like a top 5 pick in this draft.
he's a smart, legit 2 way player with a good motor, length and an ability to hit open jump shots. safe pick for sure.

Not an exciting pick but perhaps one of the safest picks in the draft. Could be a Nic Batum-type. Should be a plug & play from day one.

I think people are underestimating him, to be honest. I have been extremely impressed. I'm not sure if he is a "franchise player," but he could certainly be the best player on a playoff team.

I actually consider him a boom/bust type of guy, because I could conceivably see his shooting ability ranging from anywhere between "one of the best 3pt shooters for a SF" to "no 3pt range". Otto with the former I think has a super valuable career. With the latter I would guess journeyman. I think the right team will matter for Porter because some franchises and systems seem better at developing 3pt shooters and finding the open shots for them, eg. Chandler Parsons went from an ok 3pt shooter and 61% FT shooter in college to a huge threat from 3 this year, the FT in particular makes him a huge anomaly for college players who went onto shoot well in the NBA. I wonder if college Parsons + drafted by dumb team, instead of Morey magic dust = Landry Fields

porter is a only a good athlete, he needs size and can get that but he doesn't get that high, also his handles are very weak, very...two big flaws for nba wing

Fit with Cleveland could make him a top 5 even if he's only really a top 10 talent.

I agree one of the safest picks in the draft.

Wont be a superstar, but a high IQ and productive player is a pretty certain projection. A top 5 team that has a big need at SF and is looking to minimize risk (Cleveland) could easily end up taking him.
