Surprised the Jabari Parker comparison hasn't come up yet.

Both have all round offensive skills (can score, dribble, pass), both have that same kind of underrated athleticism (because they aren't a freak like some other prospects), and simar size, although Simmons has a little bit more height and length.

Australia basketball has a very nice future, even if Thon Maker doesn't play for AUS.

He looks like a versatile PF to me.

He might be the next Lamar Odom. Looks like a 1:1 guy to me

Bari is better off the bounce and in the post.

Agree Jabari is better in the post but Ben has plenty of time to catch up

I see this guy as a face up 4. I don't get why people think he's going to play SF

Simmons has too many positives in his skill set to be just a PF, definetly a future point forward.

People on here keep sleeping on him. He's widely expected to be a number 1-2 pick and yet if you read the prospects thread, most would would have about 10 guys ahead of him, such is their athletism

Poor man's Lebron.

Nba ready physique (and with big ass shoulders like that, he could add another 20ibs of muscle without losing a step)
Amazing ball handler distribution skills
He is legitimately running the point

I can't wait to see how he goes against college competition.

I'd say consensus top 2 pick.

I like how I'm seeing more and more range from him recently too. He's not shy about pulling up for 3. I think he'll be a very very good poor mans Lebron once he hits pro. Jayden Brown looks very impressive too. Seems like 2016 draft could be quite strong, provided they aren't forced to do a second year.

Parker is a better athlete, stronger, longer and is a better 1on1 player and sscorer/shooter.
Simmons is better off the ball and as a passer, although Jabari was a really good player until his Senior year at that, phenomenal floor game, he twisted his game into more scoring in his last year and in Duke.

Better athlete is debatable. Strength can be improved on. Ben is taller with an apparently decent wingspan so I doubt Jabari is longer. I really like Jabari too. Jabari has shown much more in the post at this point. Both have great full floor games. There are similarities to their games but plenty of differences as well. They are both fantastic prospects. I really think Jabari will eventually be a superstar.

Anyway, Ben just dropped a lazy 36 on Jeter and Zimmerman. Both struggled, especially Zimmerman who found Ben's strength hard to deal with. What I like about Ben is that despite his lack of athleticism*, he has this uncanny ability to twist and contort his body mid-shot. He has very good body control

I love all those guys too. Rabb needs to put on weight to maximize all his potential. Jeter and Stone look like a solid role players to me.

Did Thon make his reclass official?

If he does then it helps the class. He too needs size and to tailor his game to more AD than KD

Where is this Simmons isn't athletic enough garbage coming from? He's fine in that department..He's not Blake Griffin but he's not a stiff either..

Watching him yesterday he is really impressive..his versatility is his greatest attribute IMo

My only question is his shot and overall scoring ability in the half court..literally all his points were on tip ins layups dunks and on the break..

yeah that's the big question going forward. can he create his own looks and get buckets when he's not the most physically gifted guy on the court? I personally think he'll be able to make the adjustment because his IQ is so damn high on that end of the floor. We'll see though when he gets to LSU next year and that SEC schedule kicks in. AB will more than likely be creating a lot of buckets out on the perimeter but i'm sure Ben will get his shots as well. Hopefully he can hit them and put to rest these final concerns about his game translating.
