He's been a surprisingly very good shotblocker. One thing that stood out is that he has good passing IQ from the high-post. I think we'll need until Dec to get a feel for his game. He's been impressive though.

He is not a sexy pick though. Even Jaren Jackson is a sexier pick.

A lot of these comments lead me to believe folks hadn't see a lot of Wendell prior to this season. Kid can definitely play.

I️ mean he is at Duke if Sacramento falls out the top 5 I️ definitely want him at 6. He shows high IQ with a good shot and a nice body.

Carter is a nice prospect, but I would not want the Kings to draft him. The Kings desperately lack a franchise player and #1 scorer. He doesn't strike me as a player who can consistently put up 20ppg a night in the NBA. Kings need that type of player right now. Especially since we're without our 2019 pick.

I’m saying if we don’t get a top 6 pick. Outside the top 5 who is a scorer

I think its going to be a race between Wendell and Jaren Jackson on who goes #6 and #7. I think right now those 2 are in their own tier. Im still holding out hope (I know it wont happen) that Wendell decides to pull a Bridges and decides to return to Duke for a 2nd year and try and go in a draft that is weaker at the top (especially when it comes to bigs) and has a better chance to go in the top 5. A man can dream.

that wont be a totally bad play for him, he might slide this year to 15-20

you see him dropping outside of the top ten this year? lack of upside or what?

Wendell is an athletic mobile big with a jump shot, who has old school toughness like Charles Oakley. I have him at #2 on my early board.

LOL, rich man's Al Horford. It's not even possible for him to impact the way Al impacts the game. His understanding even at a college level would need far more seasoning. I don't have a comparison for him yet but Al Horford much less a rich man's Al Horford is quite insane.

Al averaged 5/6/1 on 48% shooting as a freshman. Wendell's understanding of the game is far ahead of Al's when he was a freshman.

That is true but he played college ball for three seasons. Wendell won't play but one season and then off to the NBA with a terrible franchise in the top 13 of the draft. He won't have the time needed for college reps to see the game the way Al does. It's the blessing and the curse of being so gifted.

I'll say 8-12 range. I can't see him dropping below that.

Gotta keep bumping my man. Carter with 20/11/2 and 1 stl and 6 blocks on 7/9 shooting and 1/1 from 3. The dude is just so fun to watch on both sides of the ball. His bounce and timing on defense makes him such a good rim protector and offensively he has great touch offensively with both hands and that jumper looks pretty damn solid. Oh and the dude is a flat out monster on the glass.

Kevin Knox has the potential as a scorer.

Knox will bust for sure if he goes to a dumb franchise like the Kings. The only hope Knox has of succeeding in the NBA is if he's drafted by a smart team with a proven record of developing unrefined talent.

Yeah Knox has looked underwhelming to me the couple games I've watch, flat footed and just not very explosive. Carter and Jackson have been much more intriguing, I also like Mitchell Robinson yet I have no clue what will happen with him come next summer.

Would Steven Adams be a good comparison for Carter’s potential?

it's dusty in here. my allergies keep flaring up. I'm all teary eyed.

But yeah Wendell seems to be winning folks over. Best part of all this is he does his work within the confines of the team without needing to be a focal point. Lots of positive qualities with this kid. Like I said before if nothing else, you're getting a damn good pro. He's not full of sexy, clear to see upside, but he (barring injury) is one of those decade plus of good basketball kind of guys. A team needs type of kid.

He's the perfect balance of the two big name kids coming out. Not as long but bigger than Bamba. None of the motor issues of Ayton with all the same skills. Not the same rim-protection potential as the other two BUT more likely to rotate correctly and challenge than Ayton while being least likely to be moved off his spot like Bamba.

Fell in love with the kid when I first watched him play dual bigs with Udoka from Kansas during an AAU run they had together and he's just as effective as the focal point without another big next to him. Somebody is going to get a damn good player at the next level.

Only if whatever team that drafts him refuses to give him touches and says just go grab boards and play defense for us. He could do it but he's so much more than that. Could stand to be a little less robotic in the post but he has good footwork, a more than respectable jumper with good deep range. Can pass from high or low post. Bangs and scraps with anyone. Rotates on defense, can rim protect, won't be a lot to hurt you on either end of the floor. Might not be the kid you build your team around but definitely one of those necessary pieces to winning a chip when we talk about, effort, energy, fight, size, and skill.
