Why do they believe he suddenly became a better passer in the last few weeks?

I personally don’t belive it, it’s just the talk around town

Draftnet compares him to CJ McCollum. Multiple draft so called gurus like Bilas saying hes a great pick. Jerry West bonded with him apparently and they loved his character. Couple analysts called him possibly the most complete/NBA ready scorer...

BC was basically him and Bowman so he wasn't asked to be a facilitator. Who knows what they saw in workouts.

He's simply incredible, and he, Lonnie Walker, & Hutchison will be the biggest surprises of the year. I've been singing Robinson's praises for months. Apparently Westbrook adored him as well, and Clippers fans should be thrilled. He's as good of a 2018 wing that you could hope for. Jerry West is a genius

That's encouraging. It seems quite a few people are calling the pick a reach, but then again, most people haven't seen much of him and are mainly basing it on Clips passing on Porter Jr. and perhaps other available players like Walker and Zhaire.

From what I've seen of the guy, he's a natural born scorer in the mold of McCollum or Booker.

I think they saw a James Harden type player in workouts. If he has the passing, I can belive it. He draws fouls really well, is about as quick, explosive and athletic as Harden. If he’s able to pass as well as Harden I can see it. Harden wasn’t the passer he is now as a rookie.

Quite a few people haven't a friggin clue as to what they're talking about. They just roll with whatever narrative they're told to. Porter Jr sucks. He'll be riding a bench somewhere while Robinson is going on scoring sprees against top competition. Clippers were one of the big winners of the 2018 draft.

The best draft experts are praising it. The casual reporters are ones bashing it.

The Clippers had a great draft. Jerry West knows what he's doing.

He looks like he will be pretty good to me, one of the only guys I like in the draft. Very good value where they got him for this draft.
