Yeah, couple key differences

Not as strong, so think he's more of a strict 1/2 defender unlike green who has the strength, feet, athleticism combo to be highly switchable. Also think he's like 65-75% of what Green was on offense.

Nice fit for Philly, or anybody who has a wing handler.

I've had my eye on him for a while, underrated prospect.

Yes, zone defense boosting stats, yada yada. His BPG+SPG numbers are still ridiculous and he clearly has a ton of impact. And it's not like he's gambling recklessly out there, I'm seeing a smart defender watching him play.

If his jump shot keeps dropping, he's a great candidate for a second round steal. Reminds me of Thabo Sefolosha quite a bit.

He actually has lightning quick reflexes, I'm not worried about him in terms of speed at all in terms of defending, laterally very agile, I'm more worried about the strength part of things.

Just read this the other day and it drew me to him, same comp from a college coach:

https://theathletic.com/841219/2019/02/28/nba-draft-college-coaches-poll-the-upperclass-sleeper-prospects/

“I love Thybulle. His floor is Thabo Sefolosha. He’s that good of a defender. It’s crazy to say that about someone who plays in a zone, but his instincts are off the charts. Big-time measurables. Really good leaping athlete. Big hands.

“He’s a better shooter than I want to give him credit for. I want to hate on him, but I think he’s career 38 percent. I don’t think he has the intangibles of a worker or a guy that takes it seriously. If he wanted to, he could dominate games. But then every time I look, he’s averaging 9.7, 10, 11.3 (points). He’s never getting elite numbers. (But), I think he’s an NBA player. He’s a much better offensive player than Andre Roberson. Definitely a better shooter. Better all-around offensive game. (Roberson) was drafted solely because of his defense and rebounding.

From the way people talk about this guy, just from listening to other people's opinions and not from watching the tape, I think he's a 15-25 pick, depending on need. I think 15-25 value recongnizes valuable rotation player.

I just deep dove every video I could find on him...

What I saw was a player that has truly EXCEPTIONAL defensive instincts coupled with amazingly fast hands and a great feel and focus for that side of the basketball...like one of the best college players I've ever seen, exceptional.

Offensively, he obviously lacks the scorers killer instinct of a #1 option, but he seemed to thrive on team play.

His style of team play actually reminds me a little bit of Draymond Green, minus the demeanor and rebounding.

It'll be interesting to see if those defensive instincts will translate to NBA spacing and refereeing.
