If you look at the best american players, you see a real drop in quality between the 2011 drafts or something and around 2018/19.
Before that you basically had one american superstar in every draft. In those years you have who, Tatum, Brown and AD? Thats it basically. And those 3 are good but not really at the superstar level that the best american players of a given era are. There was a real drought in american superstar talent whcih is why the top 5-6 players in the league are all international. But like you said its starting to get a little better I think at the top

Is he mormon?

Rumor is they’re a force to be dealt with in regards to NIL.

Given the number being talked about for him they better be

Can anyone link an actual highlight video with normal camera angles instead of the ballislife type sideline angle? I hate forming an opinion on prospects only with that camera

BYU would have to pay me twice whatever the number was to go there. Dude is gonna be thirsty as hell on that campus.

I don't understand why Kevin Young is getting these huge recruits, he was kind of a disaster in Phoenix? Like, one of the worst assistant coaches in the NBA...

He was brought in as an offensive guru and the Suns massively underwhelmed on offense and never ran any offense.

Kid needs a nickname. Any way we can start calling him The Banty Snatcher?

The rumor going around is he’ll get 3-5 million.

Side note back to his play…he looked really good at Peach Jam today. They lost to the Boozers and their team. But man he just shows flashes of being a number 1 option.

AJ was destroyed by Boozer and scored 25 points on 26 shots.

His team lost and weren't really competitive at any point.

Who cares. He's still a completely different level of prospect, and if you can't tell that then you should stop evaluating guys.

Cam clearly seems like the better prospect at this point, it seems most of the people pushing the 'AJ is better' narrative are aesthetics and highlight lovers.

Boozer easily clears if you delve into the numbers even a little bit, his production is completely insane. One of the most dominant interior scorers in the past 5 years of EYBL + can initiate offense + shoots >80% FT

Production in High School is the last thing that anyone cares about. Guys like Boozer can put up a bunch of numbers against kids with post play. It means nothing. What people are looking for in prospects is athleticism, the ability to create plays off the dribble, shooting, and defense. AJ is better than him in all of those categories.

I think Boozer is getting somewhat underrated due to how badly Emoni Bates flamed out. People want to be a little cautious about projecting players who look great super early as that doesn't always mean great success later on.

But Boozer is one of the best HS basketball players of all time and deserves a little more hype than he's getting at this point. Maybe you can put AJ ahead of him as an NBA prospect, but Boozer being ranked behind AJ in college basketball recruiting just seems stupid.

It reminds me of how Cam Reddish was ranked above Zion entering college because people thought Zion's dominance simply couldn't translate to college.

AJ is a much better prospect than Reddish (who never liked basketball), but just a similar feeling about how Boozer is underrated like Zion was as a college prospect. We could be seeing a 12-15 BPM Freshman out of Boozer.

Boozer is going to be an absolute beast in college ball. He'll probably be as dominant as Psycho T was on the Tar Heels. It's very likely that he'll be a better college player than AJ. AJ is just much superior as an NBA prospect.

Made a thread for Boozer. Both guys seem like players who would be worthy #1 picks in many draft years, I wouldn't be surprised if Boozer just looks completely dominant with more physical development and his shot coming a bit further. In the same way, I wouldn't be surprised if additional explosiveness just from filling out his frame made Dybantsa the consensus first pick. Lots of time, but I'm more excited about 2026 than 2025, and 2025 looks really interesting already.

Super long and becoming increasingly skilled. Shows occasional flashes that remind of a young Kevin Durant, though that isn't a fair or direct comparison.

I see more of a young TMac. Durant was a more pure scorer with a little less athleticism.

TMac is the guy I see, too. Regardless, super exciting prospect.

Yup, TMac with more dog in him. TMac was more laid back.
