Is he just a transition runner, junk man around the rim, or does he have some on ball and/or floor spacing shooter in his future.

His crazy body type and IQ give him a strong floor. That length will play on D big time and he’s shown some shot creation that will always be there with his height shooting over defense in the mid post. His FT rate helps him even if his 3 ball only becomes average.

I’ve seen J McD, J Grant, and Tayshaun as comps. I think his D plays right away like those guys but I think he will have more juice on offense. If he keeps growing (just turned 18) he could be a unicorn smallball 5 in lineups.

I’d take Noa as high as 7. Hope my Bulls get him at 12.

I see Noa as high ceiling and floor. His floor is a (DAL and LAC era) DJJ type which is a hell of a floor IMO.

There is no player outside maybe Flagg that has his functional athleticism running full court and in the half court he is pretty special too. His finishing off 2 feet is incredible for a guy his size. He gets up faster than the pack off 2 feet consistently.

His ceiling is high as he can work on that **** InO. The processing for his age is phenomenal. It might not translate to, say, assist at this point but it really flashes on film.

Think he is a Top-5 guy and wish he would be around at 11 for Portland but he definitely won’t IMO.

I've been trying to warm the Raptor board to taking him at 9, but it seems they like Bryant more.

noa essengue produced at a higher level than d1 power conference. carter bryant didn't produce at d1 power conference. essengue is a full year younger. no need to overthink this one.

I think a lot of GMs will be looking silly after this draft. They were are some guys way overrated and underrated.

Bryant, every scout report I have read\watched thinks his defense will translate IMO, so if everything else fizzles he has that to hang his hat on. If the 37% 3ptFG% (only 2.8 att/g) translates and he can eventually show some on ball ability he has a potentially high ceiling IMO but, even if one\both don't he has a definable NBA role.

Essengue OTOH, flashes a lot of potential but has no definitive skill that gives you a sense of his floor. What if the shot does not come around? What if he is not able to flash on ball creativity? Where does that leave him as an NBA player?

He could certainly end up the better of the two, he is very young, both IMO have potentially high ceilings if everything goes right, but it rarely does, so IMO I'd rather give the edge to a player who can provide something valuable to an NBA roster even if he doesn't come near his ceiling.

Carter Bryant if he works out can be an OG Anunoby type of player, big strong wing that can shoot and defend with above average athleticism.

The playoffs have been really physical. I am confident Bryant can hold up to that physicality. Not sure about Noa.

Here's some food for thought: When Anthony Davis was the same age as Noa Essengue is now (18 y.o., before going to UK), he was a 6'9", 200-lb forward with the length of a big and the skillset of a wing. Davis is a better prospect overall than Essengue, but I could see Essengue maturing as a 6'10", 225-lb PF with enough athleticism and skills to become a significant two-way player.

Id lean towards player 1. But depends on the league they are playing in
