Chuck Hayes says WTF?

Fleming looking good. If his athletic measurables are PF like he will go top 15…or at least should.

So Ace Bailey is physically Trey Murphy.

Drake Powell measured out the same height as Jaylen Brown, but with a longer wingspan.

Nice measurement for CMB. He's in the same neighborhood as PJ Washington, though not quite as long.

I feel like he could end up being Jaden McDaniels.

I don't believe those measurements for many guys like Edgecomb, Philon, Harper, Clayton or Queen. Their hairstyle accounts for about an inch which is exactly why they grow it out that way. I knew Harper wasn't 6'6". He's shorter than his brother who is 6'3.75" measured at the combine so his supposed 6'4.5" isn't believable at all. I don't think it hurts him nor does 6'7.5" hurt Ace despite the narrative though since this is still solid measurements for their positions. But it certainly doesn't help the others who are all undersized for their positions. Most everyone was off by 1-2" from what the "experts" have been telling us all season per usual. You'd think they'd learn but there's no repercussions for their embellishment so I guess we just chalk it up to being hype men for agents at this point.

Khaman 9’6" standing reach
Kalkbrenner 9’4” standing reach
Goldin 9’3” standing reach
Raynaud 9’2” standing reach
Queen 9’1 ½" standing reach
Fleming 9’1 ½" standing reach
Sorber 9’1"standing reach
Wolf 9’1” standing reach
Broome 9’0 ½" standing reach
Ruzic 9’0” standing reach
Condon 8’11 ½" standing reach
Newell 8’11 ½"standing reach
Ace 8’11" standing reach
Flagg 8’10 ½" standing reach
CMB 8’10 ½" standing

I would say minimum you need a 9 foot standing reach to play center.
Newell, Condon and CMB really need to all play the 4.

Essengue (PF) may have the third longest standing reach in the draft. He was measured at 9'3.25 last year, while he was only 17 years old so it could have grown a bit.
Mohamed Diawara (PF from France) is 9'2 (officially measured at 279 cm), being 6'9 tall with a 7'4 wingspan
Beringer also is 9+, he's reported to be 6'11 barefoot with a 7'5 wingspan.

Afro adds height as they press down only moderately, but hair isn't infinitely compressible like marshmallow.

Players with large hair styles are indeed inflated

We’re basically at “I don’t believe their heights until it’s official at the combine, and if it’s someone I want to downgrade, I still don’t believe it.”

Lets make a Poll...

Should the NBA makes players shave their heads to determine real accurate heights?

There is a huge difference between 'hair inflation' not being significant because that extra inch or two doesn't affect outcomes (or at least measured height is close enough), and flatout denying that height measurements with inches of hair in between scalp and caliper is accurate in any way whatsoever.

One is acceptance of reality, while other is pure delusion.

If you care about the hair thing just look at standing reach. This seems like a complete non-issue.

I mean, hair is pretty easy to flatten all the way down. I’m not sure how thick you think afro hair is, but it compresses basically all the way down, it’s not adding over a half an inch, and it’s damn sure not making Harper 3 inches shorter without it

lol I don't think Harpers hair compressed down adds anything more than .5 inches of hair, so if you wanna remove half an inch from Harper or any of the other frobros have at my Gs

like someone else said if it bothers you that much you can just look at standing reach lol

I'm not sure why you are laughing at that post. People want the players' heights measured at their forehead / eyes for years now. They do take into account hair as height which is ridiculous
