17/11/2, 58% from the floor, 75% from the line, in 29 mpg as a freshman. Those are beastly numbers.

I don't think so. I think if he was more athletic he'd be a top-10 lock. There are times I think that the skin color does influence opinions but in Love's case I really do believe he's an exception and that there are plenty of people that love his skills but just wonder if he is athletic enough to be worth a lottery pick. No question of skills being elite.

Reggie Evens, yikes that seems pretty lowball Evens has no touch around the basket, heck the only touch he's ever had involved poor Kamen.

David Lee won a dunk contest when he was Love's age. The two players are completely different.

this is true, I believe he won the All-American dunk contest. The person who compared him to David Lee also kind of proved the OP's point, so nice job comparing him to another white player who is nothing like him.

No offense but OP doesn't really have a point.

BJ Mullens and Brook Lopez.

Lopez isn't white? He sure isn't black!

Does anyone think Love has any similarity to a better rebounding Scola?

I think he's going to be a solid player if he gets to the right situation where he sees floor time. If he ends up seeing more bench than floor I could see him ended up as a Kris Humphries type player with longer range. He has insane hands and a really nice jumper for a guy his size.

The kid can also body up his man on defense, has a nice low post game, a great outlet pass, good court vision & a high basketball IQ. Love is a solid prospect. His height will make the difference IMO on where he is drafted. If 6'8" or so, he'll drop. He did look a solid 6'9" or more when standing next to Brook Lopez last night. If he's that tall & if he's on the board when Philly picks, he's the guy I want.

this thread is bizarre..since when does being black benefit over being white...Larry Bird and the Pacers will jump all over Kevin Love(or Hansbrough) if theyre available.
