Guys, it's been two years. You can't name a bad draft after two seasons, especially when a lot of them are still under 21. The worst draft is 2000 where Mike Miller was the rookie of the year, and Michael Redd, a 2nd round pick is the best player.

The 2000 draft was definetly worse.

It's certainly not a great draft, but it's not terrible either IMO. I think it'll definitely surpass 2000.

For the Bucks it was at least. David Noel and Damir Markota. :banghead: :banghead: Two of the worst players in NBA history.

Boone was a great pick that year for the Nets considering Thorn wanted to trade up for Mo Sene .....

Marcus hasn't looked great but still looks like at least a solid backup PG .

Wasn't 06 the first year without highschool players ? I think it was , normally Oden and Durant would have been in the 06 Draft but then they changed the rule . The super talented freshmen like in this or last years draft missed because of that . All the potential freshmen where in the draft the year before .

Some good role / rotation players but few stars , bad year for lottery picks if you need a franchise player but otherwise quite ok.

Only if 20 percent end up in some form of incarceration... Then it can top that Chris Washburn draft.

Portland and Utah had really good drafts this year. Everyone else sucked.

2006 was one of the worst draft classes ever, if not the worst.

That rule change to prevent highschool players from enterering the Draft really made it pretty weak but 2000 was still weaker .

I actually think that Jar Jar Boone is turning into a very good player. Excellent rebounder with a much better offensive skill set then many of us thought. He's an atrocious free throw shooter however, allowing opposing teams to employee Hack-A-Jar-Jar.

Funny thing is, if he and Bustnani had swapped draft positions, going strictly on #'s, not many people would complain. That's why the draft is very often a crap shoot.

way to early to tell after the 2010 season you can tell, like the 2003 draft and the duncan draft are the 2 best, 2000 is by far the worst of all time

Three pages and no mention of Rudy Gay as a potential star. Wow, Grizz fan here representin!

It's not as bad as 2000, but I would say that 2000 was derailed by injuries. Look at Martin, Fizer, Mihm etc. Those were the prizes of this draft and they all are oft-injured at this point as well.

Bargnani is horrific. Tyrus Thomas doesn;t seem to be anything other then a glorified role player. Shelden Williams was a reach and has shown why.

The only good players to come from this draft are:
Roy
Foye
Aldridge
Gay
Brewer
Rondo
Farmar

everyone else probably won't be in the league in a couple of years. that is just the first round btw.

That's a lot more talent than the 2000 draft.

Obviosly some of you haven't followed this process long enough if you think the 06 draft is worse than that one

2000 was ravaged by injury.
1. Kenyon Martin=constant knee battles.
3. Darius Miles=retired due to injury.
4. Marcus Fizer=knee injuries.
5. Dermarr Johnson=car wreck, no?
7. Chris Mihm=multiple injuries.
12. Etan Thomas=heart defect.
13. Courtney Alexander=injuries, as well.

Over half of the lottery was plagued by injuries!

It was pretty bad but nothing can top the 2000 draft.

Injuries didn't help, but K-Mart was always going to be a well below-average #1 pick, Miles was a bust long before his injuries. The same can really be said for everyone there except for Alexander (since his injuries were pretty early in his career IIRC).

Well considering the rest of the draft K-Mart was the best player the Nets could take considering what we needed . Sure he had his problems but he had 3 good years with the Nets and we went to two finals with him . He was one of the few picks that actually don't have to be regretted that year .

Oh he wasn't a bad pick by the Nets, but that's kind of the point. He made sense as the #1 pick and was never all that good--that shows how badly that draft sucked.

I don't know what you mean. How could it be a weak draft? Portland got 2 of the best 3 players to come out. Sounds like a great draft to me!
