Re: 2020 NBA Draft II
Lamelo is going to just be a wait and see prospect I wouldn’t come to a conclusion on him just yet about how good or bad he will be.
But he has ideal size for a point guard, the playmaking and dribbling package is already elite and we know he isn’t shy of putting shots up. The kind of shots he takes can be fixed I don’t think that’s much of an issue.

How do you all feel about Jalen Crutcher? I think the guy has talent and should be on more radars.

Sure, he's not going to give you much, if any at all on the defensive side of the ball, but dude can definitely space the floor and when he gets run off his spot, he has an elite floater game as well as a nice mid-range jumper. He's not super tall, but he's strong and isn't afraid to play defense. I think he can benefit from his speed and paint penetration at the next level when it comes to playmaking because of the spacing difference from NCAA to NBA.
Sure thing like Carsen Edwards.

Just pull up the Morant thread. It wasn't no bust talk but this sub was not high on him. I remember the guys high on him, which was me, clyde, and several others. Many had their doubts.
In all fairness, LeMelo was in a superior league by a mile. Are you really comparing the competition in the OVC to the Australian Professional Basketball League? Honestly, really?
I will be honest. I didn't like Trae, Luka, Ja, or LaMelo shooting mechanics. Truth be told, I am still not a fan of their shooting mechanics.
I was the first person here to say that Trae Young was a top 3 pick in maybe November of 2018.

Howard is a significantly better shooter.

I like his game. He's not overwhelmingly athletic or unstoppable but he seems to make good decisions and shoots the ball fairly well. Could definitely be a back up point in the NBA, in my mind.

Just finished my Wiseman video. Didn’t have to watch that much film since he only played 3 games. Also watched the McDonalds game, but not much you can take from that.
And if you missed my vids on Avdija and Ball you can check em out below:

Even though I don't like PGs that aren't regular 3-point shooters, I think Devon Dotson has a good chance of becoming a high-end bench player. His defense is impressive, he get to the rim easily and finishes well from 0-3 feet.

I'd be more surprised if he turned into a bust, than if he succeeded in the NBA. The kid is just a winner and solid.

Re: 2020 NBA Draft II
Myreon Jones (Penn State) is such an interesting player to me. 6’3 with a slight build but long-ish. More of an off-ball player who can run around screens and catch and shoot. Think Redick, Korver, or George. Kid has a little bit of an awkward release as he brings the ball up from below his hip, but it’s quick and it goes in. I can see him being a nice pick up in the 2nd round. Has also flashed some potential penetrating the paint in ISO situations.

Naji Marshall reminds me of Will Barton. I don't know if he'll declare for 2020 but he looks like a baller.

One of
Scottie Lewis
Josh Green
Tyler Bey
may drop down to the 30th pick. All 3 are top tier athletes with workable jumpers.

if any of those 3 drop to 30 a bunch of GMs should be given pink slips
i was thinking more along the lines of Saddiq and Nwora in that range

Just going off of a bunch of mock drafts. Every mock draft I looked at (only 4) had at least one of them at 30.

that line of thinking might be valid annually.

Re: 2020 NBA Draft II
I'm starting to move David Duke up my big board.
6'5 wing with good athleticism, has shown significant improvement shooting the 3 and hitting free throws. Isn't afraid of contact near the rim. Finishes strong. He looks quite comfortable hitting 3s, too. Has shown NBA range. His shooting form is good. Has flashed some ability to handle the ball. Has solid footwork and is fluid with his movements. Has good tools to defend 1-3. If I had to guess, he has a 6'10-ish wingspan. Allows him to be crafty near the rim. He doesn't hold on to the ball.
