risacher looked good - actually looked better than michael porter who he is comped to - he has better bend not as upright and has nice fluidity and better as a ball mover. and better handles.

This from someone who didn't understand the hype in risacher pre-draft - as of now none of these top guys are playing below expectations

Eh, not sure that's a good comparison. MPJ's whole selling point is that he is a great shooter who's almost 6'10 w/o shoes with a 7'0 wingspan. That means he's a stretch 4 on offense who can help protect the rim and clean the glass on defense. Take a couple inches and some shooting accuracy away from MPJ you have a very different player in terms of impact.

Risacher projects to be more of a capable perimeter defender, which is good considering his relatively unimpressive length, and we'll have to wait and see if he's at MPJ's level as a shooter. If he is then he has a good chance to have a similar impact on his team (though done differently) but it's optimistic to project that level of shooting for almost any player (with only few exceptions).

He shoots quicker than MPJ, but MPJ jumps higher than Zac. I think as he got stronger and accustomed to NBA pace and tactics, he will be fine.

He has legit ball skills. I am intrigued to see him out there with Dyson Daniels and Jalen Johnson on a 2-3-4 rotation defensively. Just a lot of size and length out there. I also like when he drives, he's looking to dunk, no cutesy floaters or **** like that.

He reminds me of Kevin Martin.. if he can't shoot like him though I don't know what you have.. He's VERY slow turning the corner on ball but fairly quick off ball with a quick release.. if he gets his jumpshot together he'll be a plus starter.. if not.. he won't have a place on any NBA court.. he doesn't do anything else well except constantly move offball

Zac dominated in game 1 in SL. Very impressed!

He did so much better than Brandon Miller, Scoot Henderson, Jabri Smith and Paolo Banchero in their 1st SL game.

Everybody sucked ass in the 2nd game. Both teams, 31FG% and 20% from three. Hang over game, typical ugly SL stinker

It is obvious, the deeper we get into SL, the more desperate players get into showing off and forcing things and ugly basketball, as they are trying to get a contract. That is why, if you are a lottery pick, they should just pay 1-2 games, and then just sit out the rest of SL so the rest of guys can get minutes.

it's all relative though. This could be an opportunity for top prospects to play the supportive role they'd likely be playing in the regular season and impact the game in other ways besides scoring. People are predictably losing their minds about Sarr but his G.M. literally said they were going to experiment with him as they develop him. He's obviously going to struggle as a center going against 24 y/o seasoned vets that are 5 years his senior and outweigh him by 40 pounds. The previous game when he wasn't he looked much better. R

Risacher looks plug and play and will benefit from getting clean looks. He's not just a 3 and D as he's shown the ability to drive off closeouts and bring the ball up in transition. SL won't be a great barometer for him or Sarr like it can be for high usage guards like Castle, Carrington, Sheppard, Dillingham, etc

It always makes me laugh when people find these "first player to do X". Is there some massive database where you can sort by rookie, points, and 3pt made?

Bro, you can do this in basketball-reference lol. Even if you took every NBA stat ever it's not a "massive" database by today's standard. It's a few GB, if that.

AI should be able to find this in ~10 seconds or less. I assume you don't work in an IT or Data field

I use that a lot and don't see how you'd do that. Please provide step by step how to extract every rookie season for all players in NBA history to start with. Then, sort that by individual stats. I've wanted to do this forever. I know you can view rookies by season but don't see how to view all rookies ever

You need to go through each season and turn it into a csv and then append them. It shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes or so to do this manually. If it were me, and I cared enough (which I don't), I would use Claude to write me a scraper to do it.
