:nonono: :nonono: Guy is big time. A human highlight reel. Hard to see him not going top 5.

guys like VJ don't go top 5, just another CG prospect (a good one) but as we saw with KG and JKW these dudes drop in the draft

It's a good point, but he's such a better athlete than them though (and they're not terrible athletes). He could end up having a monster year at Baylor.

i mean he'd have to be an outlier athlete to be considered top 5 as a combo guard like Jalen Green or something

With VJ he looks like an incredible athlete, but I don't see some incredible level of feel or skill. Maybe I'm wrong and in college he shows that, but I don't think it is athleticism or position that is the limiting factor for him.

imo Luka being such a high profile superstar since he was 15 y/o inspired so many European kids and we're seeing the results all these years later. It's not just France.

So what inspired Luka? What inspired Jokic?

This great man of history bollocks is so annoying to read. No “Luka” was not responsible for the INSEP Academy coaching kids into stars. This is ridiculous.

Systems create results. The European development systems have been churning out better results with far fewer resources in all aspects.

Luka has had no impact and hasn't inspired a generation of European kids. Gotcha

I’d say the likes of Tony Parker and Batum (as well as the Paris Olympics in 2024 causing huge investment in grassroots sports operations like INSEP) were much more pivotal in seeing 3 Frenchmen picked in the top 6

But yep you can just point to Luka if you’d prefer

Last year I went to Paris and when strolling through a park (forget the name) that has few basketball courts, they were full with amateurs playing 5 on 5. The games were quite serious and talkative (french likes to argue/debate amongst themselves :D ).

Yeah, if it were Luka, why so many specifically from France?

Wouldn’t we see the same thing happening with countries like Spain (you know, where he actually played), and Germany?

Weird Luka worship/Dirk, Giannis, Jokic, Parker, etc. disrespect aside…

VJ Edgecombe reminds me of a young Anthony Edwards.

I think Edgecombe is closer to Jaden Ivey. He's not as big or as talented as Ant.

I’m starting to get very curious about Gonzalez and Demin the two former Real Madrid guys. Anyone watched full games of them?
