Perry Ellis is plays like a carbon copy of Carlos Boozer at Duke, but he isn't as strong and his wingspan is only 6'10. Boozer's wingspan is 7'1 or 7'2, and I think that will make a big difference in his potential pro success.

He's also a little more athletic than Boozer was. Boozer's movement has always been heavy (better sense of gravity) and it has helped him get rebounds. On the other hand, Ellis is lighter/faster. However, you won't see him getting 10 or more rebounds boxing out. That extra inch also helps with rebounding.

Boozer-lite? Maybe.

Just saw Corey Jefferson from Baylor for the first time tonight. Dude will definitely be a solid NBA player. Nice size, big frame, athletic, can shoot the mid, and rebounds nicely.

Ellis is soft, not particularly athletic, and has a bad release point inside. He does have potential as a jump shooter.

In the end, I think he is a skilled collegiate scoring option but not NBA material.

I was very high on Cory last season, but combining his age and decreased production and efficiency this season, I'm disappointed and could see him not getting drafted. I agree that the tools are there.

Deonte Burton could be the next Curry/Lillard/McCollum

Dude is an amazing athlete no doubt. He can get to the rim at will in college. Can shoot pretty well off the dribble and pulling up. The one thing he needs to improve on is his ball handling a little sketchy, but he definately has a chance to be a pretty good player in the NBA. I don't know about Lillard good, but he can be a pretty good starter.

TJ Warren. Guy is a 7th in the NCAA in scoring as a sophomore, and is doing it on 52% shooting. He is just barely starting to crack the top 20 in mocks. He's going to be a player.

He shouldn't be a sleeper, but people still don't believe in Jordan Adams. Last game he had 28 points (12 of 19 shooting), 6 boards, 5 assists, and 5 steals - to go with 1 turnover.

Is just stupid the Jordan Adams thing, he should be a lock to go in the top20.

my guy is Philip Neumann out of germany, could be tom gugliotta type player

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Phi ... mann-6193/

Strengths
- Excellent ball-handler for his size
- Can create his own shot off the dribble
- Good shooting range and mechanics
- Has nice touch around the basket
- Decent rebounder and a good shot-blocker

Weaknesses
- Not a strong jumper
- Lack of lateral quickness
- Needs general defensive improvement
- Needs to improve pick and roll defense

NBA projection
Neumann is an intriguing prospect because of his ability to create his own shot and ball-handling ability for his size. He may not be big enough to be a true NBA center, but his skill set is such that he could be effective as a power forward with offensive skills both near and away from the basket. Neumann has a chance to be selected in the latter portion of the second round,

2012-2013 Season
Another big man who is working his way into his teams rotation while developing his skill. He impressed us the last few years in the European Championships. This past summer he averaged 12.5 ppg and 4.3 rpg in the U20 Euro Championships.

Key statistics
2.9 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.2 bpg, 9.0 mpg, .581 2PT, .591 FT (Euroleague)
5.6 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 0.5 apg, 12.5 mpg, .610 2PT, .685 FT (Germany)

Cool statistic
Neumann had back-to-back games in which in scored a total of 43 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in 45 minutes of play.

Reminds me of...
Ryan Anderson

What Insiders Say
Os Davis, BallinEurope.com
"A bit of a diamond in the rough noted for a good (if unspectacular) command of the fundamentals and court awareness. With Brose Baskets Bamberg this season, Neumann showed improvement in his mid-range game and fearlessness in crunch time. Despite flashes of brilliance, Neumann never really took over in any particular game as he has in international youth play, but did show lots of potential."

Sam Chadwick, Prospects in Europe
“One of the older European prospects in this year's NBA Draft, not specifically strong in any area however a good all around player, for a 6' 10" PF/C. He isn't the best rebounder and for his size he doesn't get many blocks, offensively he possesses a lot of potential with solid ball handling skills & the ability to create his own shots off the dribble or as a close/mid-range shooter."

Watching the SDSU vs NM game, man Winston Shepard is so long and a beast physically. Versatile player on defense and is a crafty scorer. He definitely fits the mold of a 3 and D SF that can do a little more. Reminds me of a bigger Jimmy Butler.

Needs another year. Him, Dakari Allen, Malik Pope, Zyle Cheatham and Dwayne Polee are going to form a heck of a squad next year.

shepard's always been a dynamite defender. in prep school, he was in charge of defending the shabazz' and jabari's of the world when findlay played them and i don't remember anybody defending them better. he's missing that "3" element of the 3 and d player though.

Just coming in here to plug Delon Wright once again.

22 points on 7-7 to go with 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks vs ASU tonight.

I kind of feel as though Montrezl Harrell is being slept on a bit, but a lot of his value is tied to his defensive potential imo. I'm not sure he has a offensive game, apart from putbacks, running the floor (which he's great at), and an explosive finisher in the P'n'R, which has value on offence in of itself.

What are your thoughts on Harrell? I think he can be a beast defensively, despite his height.

I think he can. He's a great test for those of us who think length is much more important than height. And he's strong enough. How much he improves offensively depends on how hard he works. I like that he understands his limitations and doesn't take too many bad shots. I'd like to think a player that athletic will work hard enough to become as good as he can be.

He leads Utah in scoring, assists, steals, and blocks, is second (0.6 per game below first) in rebounds, and shoots 60% from the field and 79% from the line. I think he sells popcorn at halftime.
