Most are 18-19 year old kids...news flash...some will improve tremendously, and none are finished products. I like Garland..think he will be a stud...lots of scouts love Garland...is he a guarantee NBA all star...heck no...but I am hoping my Cavs take him over Culver or Hunter...because I don't see the NBA all star potential in either one of those two, but do Garland.

thanks. Still wish we had his HS numbers for bigger volume. Blows my mind how the top 10 guys don't have maxprep pages but some farmboy no one that will never play a game after High school has every single stats since he was a freshman sometimes.

if he gets better as a playmaker, he's an all-star type.

he's getting there, watch out

Garland will make all NBA teams in his career. At this point I'm certain of it. I'm not even sure he's not a better long term prospect for us than Mobley is. The kids trajectory and growth is unreal and a joy to watch.

He was 6'1''
Played 5 college games before a serious injury
Had a negative A/TO ratio
Was viewed as a scorer more-so than a playmaker, just like Sexton was
This was a draft pick where if it failed, would have looked really, REALLY stupid. Like 'get you fired and laughed at' kind of stupid.
I think most GMs would have drafted Culver or Reddish at 5 and essentially lit the draft pick on fire.

Pretty sure it will be him or Ja Morant for first PG off the board.
