I watched the Pitt game today and after watching it have to give Ingram and Allen even more respect because they have to compete without a competent point guard. Derryck Thornton and Matt Jones shouldn't be logging so many minutes for a program like Duke, at least not at this point in their careers.

Over Ingram's last 9 games he is converting on just 35% of his field goals taken per game.

February

2/2 - Georgia Tech - 3/15 (20% field goal percentage)
2/6 - NC State - 3/10 (30% field goal percentage)
2/8 - Louisville - 5/9 (56% field goal percentage)
2/13 - UVA - 10/22 (44% field goal percentage)
2/17 - UNC - 7/21 (33% field goal percentage)
2/20- Louisville - 3/10 (30% field goal percentage)
2/25 - FSU - 5/14 (36% field goal percentage)
2/28- Pittsburgh - 5/13 (38% field goal percentage)

March

3/1 - Wake Forest - 6/17 (35% field goal percentage)

How is nobody even discussing the fact Ingram the potential number 2 pick in the draft, is hitting just 35% of his field goals attempts per game inside the 3 point line over his last 10 games?? He has only converted on 50 of his last 143 field goals in that space over his last 10 games. :o

Isn't his strength supposed to be his shooting??????

Because stats aren't everything. You're not drafting for 19/20 year olds, you're drafting for when they hit their prime. Towns averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds a game for Kentucky and still went number one.

If he slumps like this and fails in the Tournament he should just stay another year. Needs fine tuning.

How is nobody even discussing the fact Simmons, the potential number 1 pick in the draft, has more turnovers than assists over his last 5 games? He's also more than a year older and much more physically mature than Ingram. He had 25 assists and 29 turnovers in the last 5 games. :o

He's also hitting 37% of his threes and 80% of his FTs, and his stroke looks great. It's obviously not great for him that he's not hitting a higher % but anyone who's seen more than a few months of basketball knows that slumps happen. I mean, Devin Booker is a sweet sweet shooter and he shot 33% from the field for all of Feb.

Slumping means you're not doing what you do normally do as well as usual. Almost by definition it means you don't need fine tuning, you just need to snap out and return to normal. Also, every rookie has things to work on, and a 19 year-old who's good enough to go pro will almost always learn them better in the NBA (especially since that's the speed, timing, and pacing he'll have to adjust to).

I'm just trying to show that guy how annoying he is. I didn't see anyone else having a discussion about it.

Impressive game by Ingram today. Was great offensively in the first half and his D was phenomenal all game. Was caught guarding Cat Barber multiple times out on the perimeter (maybe one of the fastest player in college with the ball in his hands) and shut him down a few times

I can live with 2 turnovers a game when you put up impressive scoring numbers.

DX has Brandon Ingram mocked #1 to PHI.

http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2016/
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.
