Few months ago there were many comments about Lukas inability to score. What do you have to say now? He is an elite shooter and passer, his basketball IQ is unbelivable... I think there never was a player who could score 27 pts to a team like Croatia in european history, at the age of 18... Or maybe there were a few..

offtopic: Slovenia has a realy nice team. Dragič has many reserves(He was playing at 30%). When you add Randolph and Čančar(HE has realy improved his game in the last few months. It is easier for him to play now that he has put on some weight. I tjink he will be an important rotation player for Slovenia this year). All in all I think Slovenia is a real contender for the podium this eurobasket

Everything looks so effortless. He looks like he's in slow-motion (also why some people are somewhat doubtful about him), but so damn effective. He's just good at basketball, at basically every aspect of it.

Everyone needs to calm down a bit about his shooting, though. It's still a very small sample, lots of variance involved.

Just as his current FT% isn't a real representation of his actual abilities, the same is true for his 3pt%.

He's not an elite shooter, at least not yet.

27 points on just 13 shots, with only 1 made FT. That's ridic.

4 games, 4 times the best scorer, 3 times the best rebounder. Every game more difficult opponents and every game more points scored, 14,18, 20, 27.

Anyone know if the full game will be uploaded anywhere?

Still have yet to see any pull ups or half court finishes in any of this film.

3 pullup 3's, not sure where you're not seeing any pull ups. defender goes under or big defender stays deep, he pulls up.

Probably not yet there for midrange pullups but he's already put the same concept to use at the 3PT line. Do you have an example of what type of pullups you're looking for?

there's also one at rim finish after snaking the pick. That's new, snaking to score rather than pass. Hopefully more variety of that as the tournament goes on and next year.

Still issues with getting footwork wrong, noticeable on the first basket and the alley-oop.

3 pullup 3's, not sure where you're not seeing any pull ups.

The pull up 3s are ok....Lonzo Ball can nail those.

Actually almost all of Lonzo's 3s in the NCAA were assisted. Not to mention comparing a prospect to Lonzo is hardly an insult.

Lol Lonzo hit plenty of pull-up 3s.

And the point isn't the comparison to Lonzo being bad but that no one would peg him as a scorer.

I don't think anyone would contest that Doncic is a great perimeter shooter.

I can't find the stats behind it after a good 15 minutes of googling, but I distinctly remember Ball having a ridiculously high % of his 3pt attempts come from assists.

The graphic I'm remembering is somewhere In the 1k pages of the Bucks forums' draft discussion and I can't be assed to find it to prove a point.

The issues Lonzo has as a scorer are related to his release among others. Lonzo can't shoot midrange shots consistently because of that and this makes him a shooter from deep basically by default – and that's also why we saw a lot of deep 3's from him before it was contested. Does Doncic have the same issues with his release? No, and that's why I don't see any reason to doubt his midrange game in the future. It's just that those aren't the type of shots you want to take too often and Doncic happens to be smart enough to realize that.

A lot of players can pull up 3s , its about consistency. Doncic lookes like he can be an elite shooter, dude hit 6 threes yesterday, and 2 shots he missed were end of shot clock prayers.

Popovic didn't guard him much. But nice to hear you again after 27/8/5 game, against one of the best Eurobasket team. I'm sure you would have posted earlier, if he didn't have very good first 4 games.
