top 5 for Proctor seems way too rich at this point but I can't make a top 5 case for anyone right now outside Buz

Flip could be top 5 if this class is as bad as people say.

That's fair, I'm just staking my claim early. I think he's going to be the first PG off the board. Hearing positive things out of Durham about him this summer. I like his mental makeup and approach to the game (even though I could live without the flopping).

we'll see, not gonna count him out, i was a big fan before last year when he was in Australia, just not as big as I thought he'd be or as athletic when he got to Duke...but that won't matter if his skills continue developing.

Is this a move to get him drafter higher? I'm not sure he's going to get the exposure he thinks he'll get, might've been better to stay in Madrid but maybe he was too far away from the first team tbh.

He left Madrid 2 years ago to join OTE.
Returning there was never in consideration, it was either Ignite or Australia.

He wouldn't get any playing time on Madrid's first team anyway. Not because he sucks, but cause Spanish teams aren't in the business of developing young talented dudes. Unless you're like young Luka, Gasol, Rubio, Porzingis you're not seeing minutes at that age.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Don't say that!

He's my early favorite for the Timberwolves to find their PG of the future in the 20s....though I haven't done my due diligence yet to find the skilled bigs they're going to drool over

Wolves are going to be a playoff team in 2024. I highly doubt Proctor will be available outside of the lottery. You'll have to settle for Dajuan Wagner, Jr.

OK, I think I found my early draft crush. Some playoff team is going to draft Oso Ighodaro and have an immediate Noah/Clarke/Sochan/SloMo style high IQ forward.

He needs to show something as a shooter or more defensively but yeah--his passing will get him into the Summer League next year.

Looking forward to the 2024 draft for Portland.

Portland's rebuild built around the 2024 big, Scoot/Sharpe would bring Portland back
to playoff contention

His defense looks pretty horrible, so I don't see top 5. I do see top 20, perhaps late lottery.

Depends if you think he's a 4 or 5 in the NBA. He was playing out of position all year imo.

He got murdered on switches, but hopefully in drop coverage he looks better. If he does I think he gets a lot more interesting. Still don't see top 5, though, even if his defense is acceptable (could totally be wrong in this draft class, but I think some people will emerge).

Kentucky looks pretty impressive at the Global Jam despite missing Bradshaw. Wagner is a natural PG with a really good feel for the game, nice ability to run the offense, good passer, high BBIQ and relentless motor. Dillingham is a tiny 6'1" chucker but is cat quick off the dribble allowing him to get his shot off at will and force defenses to collapse leaving guys wide open. Reeves has really developed. Sheppard is too small for a SG at just about 6'2.5" but I like his skill level. He's a sieve on defense, a true liability, but he is at least opportunistic and a good athlete with high BBIQ. Edwards just floats through the game, making the right read and play, hitting open threes, finding open guys, and hustling. He's active on defense and can score both on and off-ball. He's not his listed height of 6'7" (listed at 6'8" on Kentucky's site) though he's about 6'5". This is like Jett Howard 2.0 with the embellishment lol. He's likely a lottery lock but imho should not be in the #1 or even top 5 discussion due to his lack of elite size/length. He's the same level of prospect as say a Mathurin or Sharpe. With so many mouths to feed it's unlikely any of these guys have too impressive stats but this is a really talented group and if Bradshaw returns has to be considered one of the favorites to win it all though we all know how they seemingly collapse most tournaments and disappoint.

Duke freshmen vs returning players

Caleb Foster is legit. He looks to have put on some muscle and has the smoothest jumper I've seen in awhile. What a stud. Proctor looks bigger and more confident. McCain is the real deal though he's undersized for a 2 guard. Power looks promising. I'm getting fired up

You think he's a 5 in the NBA? He offers zero rim protection.

I’d like to see him actually get a chance to play the 5 before deciding he offers no rim protection. Hard to be a rim protector when you spend 90% of the time on the perimeter.

He plays like a less athletic Kirilenko on offense.
