33% from 3 for a guy who was heralded as nothing but a NBA body with no discernable, NBA ready skills is actually quite good. He needs to improve like 4% to be considered a legit 3PT shooter, thats more than doable, thats likely.

Bam and Jimmy are the real lead initiators for Miami but that said, Herro does a great job within his role for them especially since the bubble.

Mad respect for those who had Herro ranked higher than everyone else... He is in a great situation to succeed but that doesnt change the fact he has outperformed his selection and i doubt there are more than 3 guards from this draft who have better careers

Its was always the weak wingspan that killed his stock imo. Who knew he could overcome that with great awareness... All the signs were there as a true shooter i just wasnt paying attention to his overall game enough myself.

Glad you are honest about it. I came around late to Herro for the same reasons. But I didn't really watch him and P.J. tape till June. Once I did, I move both from tier 5 to tier 4 and realize both are late lottery guys.

Even though I was down on Herro till June, I was always high on his high end variance from three. If you remember me talking about him and Cam Reddish having this rare skill and why it's the most important skill a prospect can have if they want to be a superstar in today's NBA.

The difference was, Herro has the best shooting fundamentals I've seen out of a prospect and Cam had some of the worst and it needed to be patched up while Herro came in gunning and using those skills asap while Cam would use it but it was a lot less effective early on. Cam did shoot it much better as the Hawks tirelessly worked on his shooting fundamentals and basics, three to four times a day with the coaches. Herro was ready to jump right in and while working with Jimmy, he was ready from day 1. This might not be the same story if he landed on the Knicks but this is the good about not being picked high, you usually go to a much better situation.

There's plenty more. But I literally told everyone exactly how this was gonna go all year and why. Thanks for posting video that illustrated what I was saying a lot because many people can't grasp things without seeing them.

It’s still relevant. Wingspan hasn’t changed but he has reduced his BF to 5.5% in Miami.

The main thing holding him back from the top 10 for me was how right hand dominant he was. As someone who can come off the bench and be the 4th-5th option on a good team it doesn't hurt too much, but his finishing numbers and free throw rate are a definitely worse than Booker (even though Booker was the youngest player in the league on a much crappier team) who he seems to be getting compared to now.

Other than that he hasn't really exceeded expectations a ton besides bucking the trend where most one-and-done rookies take a year to adjust to the longer three; again a chicken-egg thing where who knows how much of that is immediately sliding in as a floor spacer on a good team versus a sign he's going to become a Klay Thompson level of shooter who can hit 40+ percent on higher volume. He got picked 13th already and ended up on a team that was much better than any other team that picked before them and was a great roster fit.

King Ken wrote:I have 5 of them.

1. Cam Reddish - I strongly believe he can be the best player in this class and could be the best player in the NBA one day. My comparison for him is Jamal Crawford - scoring and creativity in space, Jodie Meeks movement ability, T-Mac body, size and fluidity, and PG13 defensive instinct and tools. Teams goofed up passing on him going to the team with great space.

2. Rui - Teams goofed up again. Explosiveness in tight space - check, big ass hands - check, forward skills with shooting touch - check. His defense needs work but the tools are there. He does disappear at times but he is so freakish, finding players to guard him is nearly impossible and you will just double him but guess what, he can move the rock too. Internet scouts overly scouted him and missed on his obvious gifts. Potential superstar.

3. Jaxson Hayes - Teams goofed up again. Explosiveness, speed, Odell hands, agility, 7ft, shooting touch and feel for the game. Man, passing on him was foolish. Easy mistake for those who did it. He is not there due to needing time in the gym but like Mo Bamba, you will regret passing on him in his prime. Griffin did his thing.

4. Herro - I underrated him for awhile till I saw the tape. His ass can shoot, is athletic, can handle with both hands, can really shoot it and got a crazy ass feel for the game. Miami got them one and he will wreck havoc in the east for along time once he adjust to the pace of the game and the quality of PGs in the NBA. He got easy gas, stats lied on this man, he got some sauce.

5. Cody White - He really gonna **** the league up something serious when his shot is right. He really like Arenas but got more PG skills and a better feel for being patience. 7-10 in this draft can change the league for the next 10-15 years.

I honestly think these five could be the best players in this class. Obviously, Zion, Ja, and R.J. have a tremendous chance as does Clarke but these five tho.

Herro is looking like a beast.
If Zion is going to be Zion, he needs Hayes.
White can be Eastern Conference Murray, he just needs a Jokic.
Rui has all of the potential to be an All-Star SF offensively down the road and dominate on that end.
I think Cam Reddish can be the best player in the NBA one day. I can't wait for you guys to see him in year two. I am sure he will be an All-Star sooner than later.

This class is very underrated man. They just needed time to develop outside of Zion, R.J., and Ja.

I also believe in Cam Reddish... I can see in him the same things I saw in PG13 when he was a rookie... that fluidity and talent is extraordinary... My only question mark is whether he has that assassin's instinct and a hardworker/gym rat mentality... He has the conditions for sure, but does he has the desire? We will see...

I am praying to one day see an 'eye of the tiger' version of Reddish beeing a top player in the NBA.

Herro is doing great things, but I don't think he has the two-way potential that Cam possesses...
