Mobleys mobility for his size, touch around the basket and jumper are legit. He’s not super athletic, but his mobility makes up for it.

What do you think of Jalen Johnson?

I'm trying to figure out why someone with his body, skill, and feel is consistently mocked behind players with way worse frames (Green and Boston).

I love JJ on paper, he's my favorite prototype player wise. Main knocks on him are and have been motor on defense and that switch. With his size and skill he should be a guy that goes out there and absolutely takes over game in and game out and that doesn't happen. Jalen Green is a guy that you'd never worry about that with and having that level of dog does carry weight when the talent level is as high as his. With Boston i'd still like to see it so i'd likely attribute him leapfrogging over Johnson to Boston being seen as much as he was at Sierra Canyon and performing arguably the best on a fairly loaded team combined with JJ missing essentially the whole season. Personally i still have Terrance Clarke over Boston even though i think Brandon will have a better season and go higher in the draft. I think JJ if he shows some dog when necessary playing for Coach K he lands back in that top 3 mix like his talent should slot him. He needs to work on that jumper though.

Motor. It’s always motor. I should’ve guessed. Everything else about his game is so appealing.

Will look closer at Clarke, I haven’t spent much time with him.

Yeah JJ looks like a number one in a lot of other classes. There's so much to love and so much that translates. But that switch is important to unlock all that ability.

I'm probably the biggest Clarke guy on the board. The pace, smoothness of his game, length, coachability, and drive to get better is just lovable. Jumper needs work, I think his decision making improves as the season goes on, and he's gotta get both stronger and tougher on defense along with lower in his stance. But the correctable things combined with what's already in place leads me to see a really good pro. I think he's next up to hide in Cal's guard system and take off as a pro.

I can’t imagine any scout or nba team would look at his first college game and hold it against him that his team went to OT to beat a bad team.

Sidenote. I expect to see your fanbase really heavy on the boards with the moves Presto Presti has made. With the classes coming up and the kid in your Avatar I see OKC making a quick bounce back. Gonna be the most interesting team to watch going forward.

Ya I imagine this board is a bit transient. I'm fully on board the cade bandwagon but also preparing for the reality of other options too. I'm not a college basketball fan but I've got to find something to supplement what could be a rough regular season.

We're here for you bro. A CadeSGA backcourt would be nuts but with all the assets you guys have you can literally pinpoint the roster. Chin up good sir take solace in a very bright future.

This 2021 NBA Mock Draft has Brandon Boston as the #2 overall pick, while Terrence Clarke is near the end of the 1st round as the 24th pick.

I don’t know much about Boston but from what I’ve read he has excellent size and length for the SG position and elite ball handling and scoring ability.

I guess it will be much easier for you to compare them if you want since they’re playing on the same team in College.

so i had to learn this the hard way through watching him in full games but Cade is going to surprise folks and be more athletic than he'll get credit for. it's not elite by any means whatsoever but his timing, angles, and ability to chew space closes the gap with the lack of elite explosion. Best part of it all is what you just pointed out, because he moves so fluidly, sees the game frames ahead, and has the skill to match he takes full advantage of not having that athletic advantage. When he gets dropped off around some NBA talent next year i don't think it takes long to see a difference maker.

Minor thing but where it's really on display for me is during his behind the back dribbles in transition. There's just only so many dudes who have that move that use it so evasively while being as big as he is and all of the dudes that can do that at his size are all stars.

Jeremiah Robinson-Earl deserves a mention in this thread. He's been straight up dominant in his first two games and he has a profile that a lot of teams should like in a PF. Just an excellent all-around player on both ends.

Probably more of a SG at the next level, but Ive been impressed with Jason Preston from Ohio. Really crafty, smart, strong player. Hes been filling up the stat sheet.

Also Luka Garza has been a men amongst boys. He has been tearing through teams.

His best trait is probably his on-ball playmaking, so he's looking like a PG to me. He's really skilled and has useful athleticism on offense. Problem is that he looks like a terrible defender, just too frail and many bad habits. So the question if he can be more than perhaps the worst defender in the NBA. Offensively, he's absolutely got the talent.
