His shooting percentages don't scare you?

They do for me, but once you get past 3 or 4, you're basically choosing which type of potential role player you want. He's one of the youngest players in the draft (fellow freshmen Cam Reddish, Romeo Langford, and Bol Bol are all at least a year older than him), is probably right there with the best guards in the draft at non-shooting stuff, and you could probably convince yourself that shot selection is more of an issue than him having a totally busted jumper.

Don’t think Langford goes very high, think he’s more of a 20s pick. Still, I like his upside long term. Problem is it might be too long term. His personality for me made me drop him a bit. Just kind of immature. He’s ignorantly confident, but also timid. He doesn’t know who he is as a person yet. It could mean it’s going to take him time to get that point. And yeah, sometimes kids can be intimidated by interviews, but hes gotten that kind of attention since high school. Don’t get me wrong, I like his skills and physical ability, I think his issues in Indiana were mental. Which could also explain his issues shooting even despite his hand injury. You need to have confidence in your shot and when you have an open shot, you have to have the confidence to make it. Mentally he’s just not there. Best team for him will be a team who brings him up slowly as a third String player just to learn how to be an NBA player mentally.

Grimes and Dotson wouldn’t have been drafted. Better they return. The next two years should have a good crop of players with the transfers going on. There were some good transfers last year who haven’t played yet as well.

btw, Bassey had 'change of heart' and decide to return to school...probably a good idea, the C class was getting a bit too congested

I got the impression he will not play basketball in college anywhere next season but will retain his 2020 nba eligibility.

Surprised tbh, he must not have gotten much shine from nba scouts at the combine.

reports are that he's transferring to another school, so we'll see. not sure why he would go back to just sit out the year, that won't necessarily improve his stock.

not that surprised, not sure if he's a first rounder at this point, and it's a deep C class, while next year's looks pretty shallow at C...really the only 3 Cs projected in the first at this point are Wiseman/Stewart/Carey (and Carey is a questionable prospect IMO)
