I saw him. He's been progressing very well, more physical and athletic than I remembered him. From a NBA perspective, he may very well be a more interesting prospect than Saric (who's himself a quite intriguing one).

hezanja has one big problem.....atitude....very cocky kid, flaying in his head. especiall notable when he plays with his age group and doesn't heve dario around him to controle him

you can just see it here at end of video, yelling and trying order mavra (great prospect to, but not nba type material) to give him ball. luckley mavra ignored him...hopefully he will mature fast

He didn't matchup against Jonas because he is not C but he had great game

croatians should be excited by him . See him as lottery pick 2013.

And you've heard right. Barač isn't pure C too, but Croatians just don't have other options so they use him as C..from what I've heard, they played really solid D on Valančiūnas, usually double-teamed him and for sadness of Lithuanian fans - team's guards didn't make 3-point shots (12% only, while in last game against USA they made 41% of it) and they just didn't know what to do when Valančiūnas was struggling.

While more surprisingly than of Šarič, that kid Hezonja showed really great show..today, against Canada, he scored 16 points in a row (if I know it well)...and he's only born in '95. SICK.

He is definitely a top 3 pick.
Canada is missing about 4 of there top players.
Val has been very good in 3 games definitely worth the pick.

Well, he probably won't be top pick because he isn't athletic enough for being top NBA prospect, as I've heard.

Because Korea was supposed to be weak team (especially after yesterday's dominance of Lithuanians) so their coach gave a rest for Katič and Šarič.

Exactly. Different style of play. Guys are quicker, stronger and more athletic. Yes, he's only 16 years old, but who knows? His game might not even translate to the pros. Some guys just never pan out.

he's probably gonna be 6'11 or 7 feet in shoes by the time he's done growing with a pretty good wingspan and the skill set of a 3. i don't think he's ever gonna be a very good defender by nba standards but i think worst case he is gonna be a turk like player but he has a chance to be much much better.

To me Saric looks much closer to 6-8... maybe 6-9, and he's probably ended his growth, like most 17 year olds.

It reminds me of when Rubio was 6-3 at 15 and people here wrote he's 6-5 who's going to be 6-7

I love how the average RealGM poster has completely flipped on Euros after there was, what....2 busts in the top 5? Darko and Skita were busts, and Bargs was a slight disappointment as a #1 pick in a down year (still a really good player who would look much better if he was in the right situation). Meanwhile, Pau Gasol has been the 2nd best player (and key difference maker) on a back-to-back champion, Dirk has been a top 10 player for over a decade and can stake a claim as the best player alive today (though its not a strong one), Nene is among the best centers in today's game and a vital piece of an annual playoff team, Gallinari is a successful young player as a mid-lottery pick, Andris Biedrins was on his way to a great career before Nellie **** him, and a host of later-drafted players have become stars in their own right (Ginobili, Parker, AK, etc) all while people dismiss them with contempt.

I understand that we've had quite a few "imposters" come along, but by the time NBA decision makers have been able to evaluate them fully, they have all fallen down the board and had their stock adjust to where it should have been. If Saric makes it to the NBA draft as a top 5 pick, that will tell you all you need to know about his credentials. Of course, that's a long ways off. But people need to quit being such dip **** about it and acting like there have been all these highly drafted Euro busts. Its not true. In fact, the last time we had a high profile Euro bust was damn near a decade ago, and since then we've had Hasheem Thabeet, Adam Morrison (every bit as big a bust as Skita and moreso than Darko), Marvin Williams, the artist formerly known as Michael Beasley, Shelden Williams...and that's just the top 5.

I think all of this has served to artificially drive down the stock of Euros and that we're going to have another Dirk-type situation here soon. Saric might be the guy.
