Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

Gilchrist = Iguodala
Davis = Garnett
Jones = Odom
Teague = need to see more

I would like to see kentucky run the offense more through davis. i want to see how he plays in the post. gilchrist is a great hustle slasher with good intangibles.

Anthony Davis is beast. He just killed Morehouse, I think he shot 9-9 with a whole bunch of blocks and other intangible plays.

As crazy as I might sound, I think he could be better than KG. If Kentucky plays the offense through him, then their team will be disgusting. I just want to see Davis vs Drummond soooo bad :o

Lets put it this way, if you've seen Davis in person, then you know his ceiling is no less than KG.

I was very impressed with what I saw from him today. As we all know, he's great physically with his height and long arms. He runs like a deer in transition, and is great in the pick-&-roll. Their were multiple plays where he rolled to the basket off a pick-&-rolls for alley oops. He's a great shot-blocker, and his length even enables him to block a lot of jumpshots from the perimeter. He's also a better ball-handler than I thought. He led the break a few times, and looked fast with the ball and made a few plays. He doesn't use his handle a lot in the half-court though, but he doesn't really need to right now because of UK's other talented players.

He still has no semblance of a back-to-the-basket game, but he'll probably look to develop that as he gets stronger, and I bet he fills out in time.

terrence jones just dropped 52 on him. kg woulda never allowed that. drummond is too strong for davis. jones pretty much bullied him.

That's such a ridiculous comment.

Why ? A players ceiling is his max potential.... If his max potential is better than KG he is a superstar. Really doesn't seem that far fetched to me

The kid obviously has insane potential. I'm seeing a trend though of him playing well against smaller shorter guys, but against guys with some weight and muscle on them he seems to have some trouble. I still think for him to be an inside presense in the NBA he's going to have to put some weight on, and even in the NCAA I see him having trouble against guys who know how to use their weight. He's long and athletic though and that will be enough on many nights to make him look amazing. Morehouse obvisouly had nobody that could do anything with anyone on Kentucky, but when Davis went up against Davis in scrimages he had serious trouble. i'm just interested in how he'll do against guys with some weight and muscle, he hasnt been close to being tested yet outside of playing against Jones.

Really? You've been posting here since 2004, and you really don't understand?

you couldnt have made a more obvious assessment.
yes, davis needs to put on weight. until he does so, he will have trouble with stronger, bulkier players. that doesnt even need to be said. if UK and UCONN were to meet, davis wont be guarding drummond...but if he does, he wont be guarding him well.
