No it does not. Explain it in a correct context or just accept it is a misapplied nonsensical use of the term.
You can't see what he means from a sports perspective?
He means that Raptors fans, once stuck with a player, will irrationally convince themselves to start liking them even if they didn't before.
I think everything is pretty damn rational in regards to Ross, but it's certainly been true in the past.
Knicks fans are still the best at this though. I remember when Channing Frye was the next Duncan. Good times.
Well, thanks, I appreciate the explanation, but that is just a form of rationalization, it is certainly not Stockholm Syndrome in any shape or form where a prisoner becomes sympathetic to their captor.
Some users posts are so odd or confusing to start with so when a poster adds some completely ridiculous comparison, it just makes it that much more confusing. This one was so far off it piqued my interest, so I asked the orignal user of the term how it could possibly apply and what were they really trying to say. Anyway, I should know better than to ask someone who doesn't make sense to try and make sense, it is RealGM and I should expect anything.
Back on topic to Ross, he does seem to have some potential to be a good player, and it is reiterated by some of the summer league commentators, but it is still far too early to tell what he will actually be like in games. Anything more is just wishul thinking.
