He has enough skill to be a NBA 3 alot more athletic then people give him credit for too. Reminds me alot of Carmelo Anthony a big physical 3 with a smooth shot who's gonna attack the rim and post you up. He might be the safest pick in the draft. If he was a little more athletic and had crazy handle I think he would get way more hype.

His hype was actually slow down due to Wiggin's arrival, remember SI magazine cover dubbed Parker as best prospect since Lebron, that "best since Lebron" hype dies down and passes onto Wiggins. Had not for Wiggins, I bet Parker's hype would have grown immensely and the media would likely put him in the 1st pick race w/ Randle.

This man could be dominant at the 3 and 4 positions IMO. Similar offensive skill set as Melo, w/better defense.

Severely underrated just like Harden coming out of college. Roy is another recent example.

Scouts and fans often overvalue quick leap explosiveness and ridiculous first steps while undervaluing strength, balance, coordination, change of direction, and the like.

Just bumping this up because I really think he will be.

As much as everyone says Randle isn't like TRob, Beasley etc...I worry about his back to the basket game and can he handle stronger PFs guarding him on the blocks?! If not, can he really improve his range to become a top SF? Too many question marks for my liking and same with Wiggins who's just incredibly raw. He needs to make some major improvement in his ballhandling and jumpshot before I take him #1 overall. I much rather take a player with "old man's game" that is just skilled and crafty like Parker that I'm very confident will be a great player in the league but that's just me.

Added bonus for Parker, is that you can tell how supermature, smart, and polished he is in interviews. Its going to be a fun year debating which of these guys is the best player.

He looked really good last night. He does not look like a college Paul Pierce, but like a polished Pierce with more size and athleticism.

kid looks very special

love his ability to operate from different spots on the floor. just last night i saw him operate and make shots from the top of the arc, elbow areas, mid post, low post and the corners as a spot up shooter. his passing was really impressive as well. its one thing to be skilled enough offensively to attract doubles. the more advanced skill is to recognize where the extra defender came from and getting the ball to a teammate in the vacated area, with great timing as opposed to just kicking the ball back out to a safety valve, allowing the defense to reset.
jabari's iq is really impressive.

Parker will not be just great. This guy is a future Top 5 player in the NBA.

People will call him a bust after his first year in the league but after one year of proper nutrition and training he will go off his 2nd year.

Will be a big time scorer who can play mutiple positions. Durant upside.

The kid is so damn skilled. Off the chart good offensively.

Post move, iso, pull up, dribble drive, anything he can do.

My one worry about him was lack of foot speed and athletic ability but hes better in those areas then i thought which is scary because i cant remember a player as refined as him on offense at such a young age..

Wiggins vs. Parker tonite. My prediction, Wiggins prevails as the clear choice, based on athleticism and defense.

Parker looks way more skilled than Wiggins right now.

Parker wrecked the first half. 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4-5 from down town and 3 steals so far.

Parker has had some nice plays too that did not lead to an assist. The first 2 points Duke scored was an uncredited assisted play. He made 1 or 2 other nice passes that didn't lead to buckets though.

I also like Parkers defense so far. Been playing real smart and conservative. Didn't pick up his second foul until the end of the half. He also got a block that went uncredited since his teammate fouled the shooter.

i thought jabari's defense was kinda poor in the post. he's fronting the post but he's allowing himself to get walked up the lane, giving space for the lob passes. it aint all his fault though. the help needs to be there for the over the top passes, plus countering fronted posts is like a kansas staple. they're well-versed in that.

jabari's on fire though. i like how he shortened up his stroke. he used to pull the ball back a little further. now its short and concise.

I thought he was doing a good job given his situation. There were a few times where he played some fundamental D and the opposition just shot over him. Not much he can do when he's the biggest fellow out there for Duke. I do remember him getting beat pretty badly on a lob pass though.

Skill and instinct is a hell of a lot more important.

Parker is giving up a lot of points now since he drew an early foul in the 3rd. Wiggins should have got his 4th breaking up that lob pass though.

I don't think the NBA draft is a testament to the high value GMs place on either skill or instinct...
