Whatever limitations he has the kid plays with a lot of heart. And as someone mentioned his footwork is really good.

Scola by himself was a borderline all-star. Averaged an efficient 17/8 the only couple of years he was a starter playing big minutes (he didn't come over til he was 28, so there were only a few years in between him getting acclimating and him starting to age). But Scola's an offensive master, he's incredibly accurate and crafty at doing damage with quick shots, spins, fakes, etc. Being able to do a couple things that look like Scola doesn't make you 'Scola.'

I like the Scola comparison but he could be as easily compared to Psycho T, just depends how much translates

Yep I thought of Hansbrough as a comparison when I watched him play.

Not a fan of the Hansbrough comp. I think Sabonis brings more to the table. He has a real nice touch and is coordinated allowing him to finish well around the basket. He doesn't just power his way in. Very strong and good rebounder, think he is bigger than Hasbrough. Guy has nimble feet for his size as well.

I actually really like Sabonis as a defender. I think it makes him kind of unique. I think he can become a really good defender and he's actually pretty quick, but he doesn't really display it a lot on Gonzaga because they play for the half-court.

Not only is Sabonis longer, he's smarter and a lot more skilled. Which isn't saying much for Hansbrough who has about zero skill.

Sabonis is basically the next Jordan hill (before Jordan fell in love w a mid range shot he can't make)-so like the one season he was awesome w the lakers off the bench. Energy guy but a good one at that

He is more of a Scola-Splitter mix than Hansbrough

Not according to the data available to us. Sabonis is half an inch taller while Hansbrough's wingspan exceeds his by a full inch.

No one would mention his size as a weaknesses if he was half an inch taller with an inch longer wingspan

According to his national team coach he has literally grown this year. So for all we know he could be that 1 inch higher already and could go another inch next year.

He doesn't look taller to me. I kinda can't believe this comparison hasn't been made yet, since he is Lithuanian and all. Darius Songaila?

He is way way more skilled then Songaila, has better motor and has a fight in him. Songaila was better shooter though.

D-Sab is very skilled, elite footwork as well. If he had a bigger wingspan he'd be a top5 pick

that's far more accurate than him dropping to 19 which is where draft express has him

I wouldnt say so honestly, he is a top20 prospect no doubt, but more in the teens than in the top10, at least for me.
I think someone grabs him in late-lotto and he pans out to be solid and a good pick.

Yeah, I think that's likely, but I also think a team might fall in love with him during work outs. The highest I see him going is something like 12.

I stand corrected. But Sabonis looks to be a much better pro prospect than Hansbrough.
