Is Kuminga that fast? I haven't seen him live yet.

No he is not, significantly worse as an athlete, more of a smooth/flexible guy with strength than a bursty guy

He also shows better feel, scoring tools and shooting than Jaylen at the same stage, they are very different prospects imo

His flashes are really good and he has a nice combo of body and shooting but... it seems like that's all he got, which is nice, but from if he just sucks elsewhere he is gonna need too much time

he's a + passer for his size/position too, I've seen him make some outstanding reads.

Yeah, that was the best Todd's looked when I've ever seen him, which is to say he's the type of player where how he looks is 100% dependent on his shotmaking. He's lacking in physicality, aggression, and know-how to the point that his finishing and defense are always underwhelming compared to his apparent tools.

both are studs, i just fall in love with this class more and more.

JG is such a dynamo athlete, absolutely ridiculous how quick, explosive and efficient he is in his movements

Jep. It's an obvious top 5 imo, don't know how anyone can have Jalen Green outside of the top group. His upside is insane

and his pull up potential is bonkers, from both the mids and the 3s.

Kuminga really impresses. When you see the highlights, two things stand out: 1) he's calm during his moves and makes late passes when an angle opens up late, which is a sign of a really good wing playmaker; 2) he has a variety of ways to score; he can drive and post up, including spin moves, and pull-up from the midrange if needed, his catch-and-shoot 3 should be there as well. These two things taken together with his obvious athleticism and great size is a super intriguing package. Defense has long ways to go but if he has the right attitude, then defense will come with time – he has all the tools he needs.

Green is fun to watch as well, especially in highlights. He's moving so fluidly and effortlessly, as if he's gliding on the court, and he's so quick as well. He'll be able to create for himself in the NBA with the combination of skills and athleticism he has. But I want to see more of him as a playmaker – not just a shotmaker – and I want to see how he handles contact on both ends. I've seen a bit of Green in HS and with Team USA and it's quite clear that he's looking a lot better in highlight reels than when you watch him play. That means all the potential is there, but consistency and some of the bread-and-butter stuff has to be improved before I fully buy into him. Still looks like a top 5 guy at this point to me.

Top 5 in this draft is incredible. I still hope we lose enough to get into it.

Kuminga kind of reminds me of Marion a bit?

Nah not at all, Kuminga reminds me of typical wing scorers, poised on ball, flexible/fluid really strong, I think he is best as a PF with space to attack, not a super athlete but good enough with size

Avenues to hit high end are polish as a scorer and creator/passer, and he already shows glimpses of that

He also could just be Marcus Morris-ish if he doesn't develop or is older than we know etc, but I doubt it, he shows too much composture

I like him better than Green, who has some unreal athleticism flashes, especially his gait/stride/flexibility, but plays out of control and has very little defined skill as a basketball player, so many moving parts in his game, still a top10 guy but I'd prefer Keon over him for example if we are talking physical freaks

I still don't get the Kuminga talk as a #1 guy, like if he were a crazy athlete or a toolsy guy (Kawhi type length/hand size) sure, you can make the argument over Cade/Suggs, but he ain't that, he is a good athlete with strength and he is smooth, but I don't think he has any case to be talked as a tier I guy

Suggs and Mobley could, for Suggs it depends on evolving as a mid-range scorer, his ability to drive and finish, timing there etc, he has the tools and touch and he improves game by game but he isn't proficient there, Mobley is about asserting himself and being a real scoring threat constantly, adding moves, aggressiveness etc, thing is he has always been this guy and he is kinda old for his class, so doubting that changes

To me Cade is going to stay at one and in his own tier barring any big surprise and anyone else that doesn't agree with that is kinda going to lose a lot of credit (same as anyone who didn't have Ball, Luka, etc, 1.1)

I agree with Fisch on Green. Skill and athleticism is nice, but at the moment, I don't see the connective tissue of feel and smarts that the top four have. Looks more like a volume scorer, not necessarily a winning player.

You can't apply that logic to Green and then suggest Kuminga is not in the top tier. When you watch these games, he makes winning play after winning play. Also, put this into context, these two are performing this way against pros.

Green has enormous upside - he can get anywhere he wants on the floor given his superior athleticism. His floor game is still developing, but we are two games into the G League season. You can't draw conclusions on players this early. With college freshman (Derrick Rose included way back when), particularly guards, it is widely known that you wait for them to make the level jump before drawing conclusions. Most scouts place more emphasis on the tournament. So don't rush to judgment on Green (who is playing a level up from college freshmen).

Maybe Antawn Jamison w/plus defense? I just see a very circa 2006 'tweener' forward who should excel as a team's second option, I like what little I've seen so far.
