His motor is what does it for me. This guy wants it.

Chet sometime doesn't. Although it could be the depth of team USA, but in every single game there were ample periods in which he wasn't engaged and or even touched the ball. The skill is there, you can see the glimpses . But the motor has to be on par.

I think Wenbanyama would dominate even on a team like the USA, to the extent you wouldn't ever question who was the best player on the court.

I think they are close in value/skills right now. Giving the edge to Wenbanyama because of the motor and level of assertiveness.
When you factor in he's two years younger then Chet, it really becomes almost a no brainer on who the better prospect is.

Tomorrow Jovic vs Wenbanyama in the semi finals, I think Jovic will be top 10 selection next year , too bad Tristan Vukcevic is not allowed to play for Serbia unti he turns 21, also Serbian coach have sent Djurisc home two days ago.

Yeah, Wembenyama is the best big man prospect I've ever seen in the modern game. Incredible.

Yeah, Edey plays for Purdue.

USA ran with in the forth. Chet looked good, I dont see superstar, but he is the player who be effective with ball or without it, he is not the type of player who can only be a star if you feed fed him touches, no, he gets his moments on defense and offensively he can scavenge a good game without even trying that hard.

very high quality nba level game i wish they fared in finals. Canada pulled a mcgrady it was awfully close after down by 20.
big chet fan after u19 he shows he is great with low usage and unlike bam/dray he is a legit 7 ft which make his ceiling to KG. he will be the number 1 pick deserves every hype.

Khalifa Ababacar Diop (of Gran Canaria) had 23 points, 15 boards, 5 assists, 5 steals and 4 blocks in Senegal's big win against Argentina. He did play the full 40 minutes but that's still an impressive statline. Senegal getting 7th place is big for them.

Is he staying in this draft? Always felt he was among the best draft-and-stash guys, even over Badji. Quality physical tools for a modern 5, and skilled enough to earn rotation minutes for a very respectable ACB-League team last year.

Ah, no idea. Honestly, I didn't even know about him before I checked this game's boxscore. I do know that Gran Canaria is a very respectable team, though. Lots of top 8 finishes in the past decade. So, yeah, if he earns rotation minutes there and does well for his NT too then he's probably a decent enough player.

Yeah, they were competitive in their elimination loss to Real (81-75), and Diop actually started at center that game, contributing 8 points, 3 boards, and 2 steals in 19 minutes. Could probably use another year overseas to really get his legs under him as a full-time 25 mpg starter, and then he'll be well-prepared to give the NBA a shot.

The scheduling for this tournament was insane.

The 4 semifinalists played 7 games in 9 days, including back to back to back quarter finals/semi finals/ final- 3rd place game.

Canada beat Serbia for the 3rd spot.

Mathurin had 31 points on 11-15 shooting. Zach Edey 12/12/5 blocks. Ryan Nembhard 21/10 assists.

I'm surprised on how good these kids handled it, considering they get to play once or twice a week in college.
Mathurin played 32, 32, 34 minutes in 3 consecutive days. Even Zach Edey played 26, 28, 28 at 7'4.

Hope that call doesn't end up deciding the game...was definitely ball first.

He is definitely a big unit :o :o

Huge mismatch in the U19 setting. Just rebounded his own miss for a tip in.

Yeah, it's over. He picked up 3 fouls in a minute of PT and he's out.

France choked away the lead with him on the bench, instantly going from 4 up to down 8. They made a semi comeback when he was subbed back in to cut it down to 3 but he picked up his 5th foul right after that.

Massive game nontheless against the best team in the tournament and on the biggest stage(finals).

22 pts 8 reb 8 blocks. Absolute stud.
