Because the brother is perceived as more athletic, which generally is true in most cases.

Since we are talking about sports, thats where the benefits of being black come into play.

If you take two players that are exactly the same, just one black and the other white, the first will be considered a better athlete, the second more fundamentally sound. On draft day, the first player's potential will help him more.

This has NOTHING to do with Kevin Love's draft stock.

Do you all think Scouts didn't get the memo that Brook Lopez isn't black?

What about Mullens?

Kevin Love is considered a lottery pick but he is not a top 5 pick because he doesn't have length/athleticism to translate to warrant a pick that high.

It's that simple

...bad comparison with what Reggie IS, but maybe not with what he WAS in college. Evans could score in college--and I don't mean with Chris Kaman. He led the country in double-doubles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggie_Evans)... isn't Love doing that? Anyway, I did say the comment was a bit harsh. Love is better than Reggie Evans. But Love won't be very effective in the NBA, even though he'll get taken in the first round, and might even end up looking more like Reggie Evans than Sean May.

Evans is a bad comparison. They're both great rebounders and that's where the similarities end.

He's a lot like Zach Randolph except that he understands five on five basketball and his all-around skills are further advanced than Randolph's at the same age.
