Mayo and Foye compliment each other well. Foye is a point guard in the Gilbert Arenas mold. More of a strong, bullish point guard who likes to get to the basket. Mayo's ability to move the ball improves the offense and keeps everyone involved. Plus, he has the ability to take over a game.

The Wolves struggled on perimeter defense at times last year, something that Mayo would greatly improve. Drafting Mayo allows the Wolves to balance their 1-4 a lot better.

5 - Richard/2nd rounders or FA
4 - Jefferson/Smith
3 - Gomes/Brewer
2 - Mayo/McCants
1 - Foye/Jaric

If the Wolves were further along in their rebuilding, I could see them taking Lopez, but they really only have the PF position locked up, with solid potential at the 1 and 3. In that case you take BPA unless you already have someone better at that position. In this case they don't. McCants can be a Barbosa or Ellis type of guard off the bench providing a huge offensive spark.

If we get jumped and drop to #4 and are left with Lopez, I'm not upset, but if we pass on Mayo to get Lopez, I'm pissed.

you have the Pacers taking a 4. don't see it. they're on record as saying they need a 1 or a 5. I think it's Augustine or Westbrock and I'm leaning toward Westbrock. If they see a 7 foot center they like better, I could see that but not a 6'9" power forward.

Cliff Levingston thinks the Bulls would go for Love over Jordan at #9. After this season, Paxson will likely be looking for guys he can pencil into the rotation right away and Jordan is anything but.

Love, save for his questionable athleticism and semi-short stature, is everything the Bulls need in a big man to complement Noah and Thomas.

The Heat don't need a PG. They have a PG and his name is Dwade. He dominates the ball and does the play making like a PG. 80% of the plays on the perimeter are run with Dwade. What Rose going to be doing while Wade runs the offense. You put any two high usage players in the same back court its a disaster. It be easier to take Beasley and trade Haslem for a Pg that fits Dwade skill set. You take Rose 1 he going to have to defer to Wadeand will never be the player he could become. Right now Wade and Beasley could run one of the better pick-n-rolls in the league. There no question that Miami has to go Beasley.

Miami has consistantly said they want to take the primary ball handler role away from Wade. They do not want him acting as the PG next year. He and Rose would have zero problems co-exisiting because Rose is a guy who is unselfish to a fault. He had no problems sharing a backcourt with a 1st team all american in CDR.

Rose and Wade would compliment each other, not get in each others way.
