Re: Mario Hezonja
Don't know if anybody ever said that, but other than being a possibly great (and I mean, Great with the G) shooter in the NBA - spotup, off the bounce, coming off screens, every situation for him seems to similar to the other - IMO his biggest weaknesses are the handle (good, especially reading the p&r, but not good enough to create separation 1on1) and the way he attacks the rim. Doesn't take the lane as strong as he should, jumps too early, and it's a concern even if we consider the fact that in Europe there's no 3 defensive seconds rule.
He won't finish well, it's dunk or bust in most of the situations.
Great prospect anyway, just not an elite-level athlete like many users said out to be. The question which can't be answered right now is does he have the ability to improve and develop skills he doesn't have right now, while accostuming to a new life in the US, and playing against the best of the best. He's not JR Smith-level dumb, but he has that JR Smith-kind of player risk, where if he can't become a star he is a great spark of offense.
Remember JR was an even smoother athlete, he had an unlimited range too, but with an incredible ability to get a shot off in any situation. Probably because of better quickness in small fractions of space with phenomenal ball-handling. So a bit different compared to Mario as a prospect.
Too bad JR has always been a knucklehead, never buying in the game of basketball. I wonder how good he would've been playing next to Cp3 while realizing his potential. I don't know how many times I've said during his career "He's starting to put it together" (the 11 triples game against Kings back in 2009 was sick). He never did it or even came close to it.

Yeah was wondering too about pretty much every single one of your posts.

That's a joke. He's going to be significantly better than a guy who scored 37 points in one quarter this past season? no way. I think Klay Thompson is his ceiling. People are falling in love with Mario because he barely played in Barcelona so there isn't as much game tape to scrutinize him.

Re: Mario Hezonja
He really needs to work on his ball handling, He's got a great first step, but he is limited to straight line drives right now. Never changes direction.

He is young. His ball handles will improve
He is going to be a a go-to scorer.
He was the leading scorer in game 1. off the bench
I really want him to go to the right team, where he is gonna be the man

USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team
Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

i really want the magic to pick him, but my gut says they won't
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

I think Orlando need to go to scorer
Hezonja could fit the bill but you would have to do something with oidipo mario is a SG. But the magic could play him at sf and hezonja and Vuc could score and surround them with defenders
Payton
Olidipo
Hezonja
Gordon? Harris? Harkless? O'quien?

I agree. Especially for some of the non-believers.
"All these guys who run these organizations who talk about analytics, they have one thing in common: They're a bunch of guys who ain't never played the game, they never got the girls in high school, and they just want to get in the game."

Agree, you are the first one who should start doing that. l will even post a stream link for his next game here so you can sit back and enjoy watching him play live at last.

This guy is 6-foot-8 SF, how many special ballhandlers not named LeBron are there in the NBA at that size? I mean, even Kevin Durant is not that good of a ballhandler.
Anyway, i think he is the best shooter to emerge in the draft since Curry.

I cant wait 3 more days just to read meltdown posts on whichever team board that picks him.Just glaring through some draft threads on teams in his range, you'd say he is 2nd round pick the way he is described.

If he slips past #8 I think the team board that picks him is going to be ecstatic.

He'll be what they expected to get out of Lance Stephenson.
